Are you the one that said they saw someone say they don't want to like art done by easterners? I had a feeling it could've been related to rm but I searched if "usual suspects" complained about rm and I found nothing but honestly, it's definitely par the course as what people on this fandom would say, I'm curious who the fuck said that because the only person obnoxious enough to say bullishit openly is that obnoxious western louizo artist and the yuki person who got into a fight with several Louis artists

Complaining about the age gap is funny because canonically, as how they stand now, it's a 24-something year old and a 50-something year old so the only predation being done here is Louis jumping on a poor old man's bones lol
I genuinely believe that there's people who legitimately don't know why Louis is drawn as a child together with More, they have internalized the Prince childhood friends garbage so much that they completely forget that Louis knew about More as a child. Every single art I've seen of pre-canon RM is literally all sfw, there's not a single person drawing them sexually neither on More's or Louis's side yet so it's literally all fearmongering. I have a feeling it's jealousy too because "good art is being wasted on (thing I don't like)".
It's really the persona fandom all over again but idiots feel more emboldened because the fandom is smaller.

nattorio has drawn some kinda borderline precanon RM stuff, i think, but iirc everyone's clothed… then again, people might be taking ruichan innocently kissing more on the cheek as borderline, too. actually, i think the most blatant nsfw i've seen of a younger louis is from a cn shurui artist.

There is only one western LZ artist entirely, it's one that always complains about peole not drawing dark skinned characters dark enough and calls everything 'yuri'.

I've seen people complain about G's art noveau-esque RM's where they are literally just standing together and how it's proof it's a 'pedo' ship. I just find it utterly ridiculous how they could be doing literally nothing and people would complain.

Back to the fact that it's usually if not always Louis coming on to More (which is the point), the ship hinges on the fact that Louis used to admire/have feelings for More but these were never reciprocated. That's pretty much the basis of the ship but none of these people care about shipping in the first place.

Due to Luke and Jamie, SF has had a pretty big resurgence of female fans, especially fujo ones. Ed being redesigned into a (relatively skinny) pretty boy helped keep interest, too. RyuKen has always had a pretty niche, but strong, following (never as big as Kyo/Iori though).

My selfish desire is for Remy to be added in season 4 and having fujobait with Alex.

OoT is easily the best 3D Zelda title, but the shipping scene for it it so dead. Even back in the day most of the yaoi for it was just genderswap Shiek/Link. In that regard even though Skyward is kind of shit I appreciated that there was Ghirahim/Link and Groose/Link right from day one.

I'm so angry I can't get into BoTW, it just doesn't appeal to me as a Zelda game but it eats so much of the fandom content. Sidon seems cool, but I'm probably never beating the game so idc.

Watching series five now, and boy did they screw up the fujo. Really unhappy about the lack of Albert/Lupin content on the web, their relationship really does seem like exes, with all the banter included.

On the other hand, having Zenigata/Lupin explicitly shipped by someone in-series, and Zenigata blushing without denying it? GOLD.

I also love that they do episodes in the style of the older series, the showrunners seem to respect all the audiences of the show on top of the fujo, which is very nice to see. The Green Jacket episode was really cute, it was really nice to see Gentlemanly Lupin who is nice to women again, the setting really felt like a Miyazaki series from the 70's.

I still love him when he's a slimeball, and it was a bit cute to see him actually have an enthusiastic girl on his arm in a Red Jacket episode.

So I mentioned in /ot/ a while back I was planning to watch the new movie, the immortal bloodline, but it occurred to me way too late that I could've just checked anilist to see what it was connected to instead of assuming I could watch it standalone and now I found out it's part of a whole series of movies. Pretty dumb on my part but the movie ended up recapping earlier plot points in the beginning so in the end I wasn't lost or anything. The whole thing had a spooky and weird vibe to it that I really enjoyed. Definitely feeling my fujodar revving up with the Zenigata/Lupin dynamic.

God I miss Samwise so much… Soriku was my very first yaoi ship (and exposure to yaoi lol) I really wish I saved most of her artworks before she nuked her pixiv and twitter. The way she wrote these two was perfect.

I just watched the prequel movie for Touken ranbu kai. I'm late but sometimes it just takes me a while to sit down and watch a movie. To be honest I don't have a lot to say about it cause it's about what you'd expect from a touken ranbu movie. This scene near the end with Tsuru is cute. I think I never latched on to him much in the actual game but the various anime adaptations made me more attached to him.

Kyoshika is a gag character much of the time, but she really womans up in the romance arc, where most of her pervyness is toned down and she's taken more seriously as a character. Also, her OG sacrifice ending was really consistant with her as a character, first time I ever saw a female warrior-chan sacrifice her life to bushido.

Replying to myself, I’m glad they went for the more claustrophobic feel like 1 and Whistleblower, but sometimes the maps get big, which I don’t like. It’s one of the main reasons i disliked Outlast 2 compared to the others, although i don’t hate it as much as others do.

imo, 1 and Whistleblower are pretty much a perfect horror game, and the sequels leave something to be desired.

The pacing is perfect for the experience and the tension is utilized much better than Outlast 2 in particular. Most of my time playing the sequel, I felt like I was going through a scare simulator, especially in the school portions.

Trials is a decent game, but it's a little too removed from the original concept for me (and I don't care for multiplayer stuff).

Nice thread! Ive seen some cute art of Harry + James around and I find the ship really cute, especially when the aliens are included. Though I'm SFW content is as far as I can go with the ship despite the whump potential James has (maybe its because I see both as uke so its a uke4uke relationship.) I really like Walter/Henry, the freudian torment nexus goes crazy in their relationship and my eyes flew out of my socket when I saw child walter's notes slide under Henry's door when I initially played even if its all a manner of coincidence (iykyk)
Silent hill is one of the few rare series that doesn't require shipping or yaoi to keep me invested since the monsters, horror elements, and environmental design are very captivating!

now to answer the questions!
>Favorite game?
In terms of scariness and general themes it would be Silent hill 3, in terms of gameplay Silent hill 2, in terms of nostalgia Silent hill 1, and in terms of characters it would be Silent hill 4. I like all of them pretty much, each with their unique reasons.
I haven't played anything beyond SH4 since I plan to complete all endings for SH3-4 before I give something like downpour or SHF a try.
Oh and Im proud to have achieved 10 stars on SH2; the biggest struggle was avoiding the damage from Eddie due to playing with tank controls on. boat minigame can eat dirt. I'm excited to try out a 10-star run of SH1 some day because of the challenge of having no pause on the timer.

All the protagonists from SH 1-4 and the creepers (yes the giant bug enemy)

Please for the love of god let the series die. SHF could've existed perfectly on its own as it's own standalone series.

Not quite sad about it. The demo is amazing and it's honestly one of the best pieces of horror media in a long while, however I'm content with what we were given and I'm not even sure if the full game would've lived up to the demo.

I enjoyed Downpour. I played it pretty young, and was at the age where the twist really blew my mind. It's not a good game, and its certainly not a good silent hill, but its an alright survival horror.

I've read some great fanfics and theory about them. I know Henry gets criticized for being a blank slate, but I sort of like that about him. It let's the focus of the game center on Walter and the other Victims, and it does a good job at setting Henry up as this blank sacrifice onto which Walter plans to carve his will.

It's gotta be 2. I don't think there's a single bad game of the first four, but 2 really does stand out. James is a bad person, and I feel like video games don't really let you play as a canonically bad person too often. That alone makes it stand out.

Cheryl. I love Cheryl, she's so interesting as a character and as a motif in the game. SH has always had this overarching theme of motherhood, and I think 3 leans into the real horror of that.

Ehhhhh. the 2 remake is apparently very okay, but imo the major themes get lost and James is much more sympathetic than he should be. A friend is playing F, and seems to like it. But, overall, just let it rest.

Considering how divisive Death Stranding turned out, I would have been very interested to see what the hell Kojima planned for Silent Hills. Alas. I do regret that so much of modern indie horror immediately tried to replicate PT, and stagnated there instead of innovating, and now we're stuck with a bunch of streambait horror games on steam.
