I think it was the Potential. Even in their very short screentime, matt and mello are shown as these badass partners-in-crime. Iirc it was basically just them two at that point in the story since Mello had gone kind of rogue, so there was this insinuation that they were particularly close and shared a history together. One of Mello's only small moments of emotion is shown when expresses regret that Matt was killed. Also they just look damn good together. The fans were so right to change matt's hair to red though because that green is not it. The level of based you have to be to completely ignore the canon haircolor because it's ugly and straight up pretend a new design into existence kek

Man, I have not played Cookie Run in so long. The company fucking up constantly and Kingdom not being my cup of tea just ended up drying all interest I had in playing the games overtime. However I still love the characters and still draw fanart of them, I almost wanna just steal them or something from the company so I can have full legal rights of them to make comics and stories officially lol (would already be most than what they get under that company's name anyway). I should just make OCs based on them and come up with my own story.

Millennial Tree will forever be my favorite. His design (nature and femboy looks), his canon deep voice, and how he's often forgotten by devsisters…kinda makes him more mysterious and cool for me lol. Still hurtst tho…he's like, jesus cookie. C'mon man. Also i have a soft spot for Yogurt Cream since I started playing the game when he was first released. For Kingdom, I love Eclair. I'm obsessed with Rengoku! I have a thing for fire element boys in general and watching avatar the last Airbender when I was a young fujo sparked something in me.
His smile and personality are to die for and I love that there is easy to find doujins of him that are wholesome and cute!

It's one of those rare series that me and my mom enjoy both, she was watching it before I did and that's how I got introduced to it so it holds a special place in my heart.

Got a friend to try out Slow Damage and been talking about it with them as they advance through the routes. It's fun seeing their reactions to the euphoria scenes blind.
Tried to get them to play Hashihime, but they didn't like the slowness and lack of animation in it. Hope they pick it up again, though as it was my first recommendation to them.

I like both slow damage and hashihime. I do have to agree that hashihime has the slower start, but kawase route was literally kino for me. I love towa so much. I wish I was a better artist so I could draw him more often. Picrel not mine of course.

I don't wanna criticize the games art unfairly because I just want good games for straight an bi women, but some of the poses look seriously weird to me. Like the art is overrendered in some places (meaning that there will be more shadows and highlights placed in the art), so if the pose is off, it looks way more obvious than in "cartoony" art. I sometimes feel like I miss the days of really simple/not as rendered art from game companies. Like even though there's wack ass poses in anime, it won't stand out as much because it's not meant to be realistic.

in the big picture, only 1 out of 4 of those are relevant to fujo history. Afaik DBZ isn't popular with fujos; it's enjoyed mainly by dudebros who enjoy mainstream anime. One Piece is also normie anime fan fare; the volume of BL fan content probably has more to do with its longevity and popularity, but the recent live action adaptation certainly boosted the level of fujo output. Fairy Tail was dominated by het; pairings like Natsu x Lucy and Gray x Juvia reigned supreme.

That leaves us with Naruto. I wouldn't be exaggerating by saying that SasuNaru / NaruSasu birthed an entire generation of rotten girls (and maybe even a few gay moids). If you were a fledgling weeb in the 2000s, SNS was probably babby's first M/M ship. That's why SNS is up there with the aforementioned Serge/Gilbert, KawoShin and Griffith/Guts as the most iconic and influential BL ships in the history of fujodom.

Honestly was never into Naruto at all but I loved One Piece yaoi when I was younger and am still into the early content. Was always jealous of how many translated doujins existed for Naruto compared to other series and ships I liked, especially for Uruyuu/Ichigo. 1000 years ago I wrote a fanfic on aff.net, now riddled with errors because of some change that fucked with quotation marks and other punctuation. I also had some SFW FE7 stuff on ff.net under a different name. Of the popular m/m ships at that time I was really only into Rath/Wil and Legault/Heath. I actually liked Guy with Pr*scilla but remember being disappointed there wasn't Karel/Guy (something mellowed that dude out, I bet it was Guy's ASS).
