If seme butts were better drawn on average then I would agree with you, although I don't want to see their asshole pointed at the camera.
To be honest, butts in anime are just usually not well whether it's male or female. Female slightly better but all the effort is always on the boobs.

A new manga I like is getting axed. I'm usually really pretty good at not getting too bothered over opinions/just scrolling by if they do irritate me but lately I swear certain opinions about it make me seethe to the point I have to resist the urge to argue. I KNOW it's autistic, I know it's ultimately all subjective. I don't think I've ever felt the compulsion to 'correct' someone's opinion/defend something I like as hard as I have with this manga.

Seriously. Saying fujos need to like irl gay men is like saying male yurifags and lesbian porn consumers should be lesbian rights activists. Homophobic men who jerk off to lesbians have always been cringe and I'm pretty sure any sane woman thinks that, idk why'd you think that being a homophobic straight woman who jerks off to gays would somehow not be cringe. Fiction is different from irl, but openly calling yourself a homophobe and expecting people to pet you on the back for it is fascinating.

I cannot comprehend people who self insert in everything. It started with just a friend saying I'm weird for only liking yaoi and disliking to self insert in NSFW but I've come to realise there are people who self insert in everything. Be it games, anime, movies, etc etc, people wanna be part of the cast and I find that strange. Because how would you actually read books like, eg. mainstream example Crime and Punishment? "nooo I don't empathize with rodion I don't feel like reading, he's not relatable enough"
They don't. Their world consists only of themselves, and the character they like. Like those people whose entire personality are their boyfriends or husbands.

Don't forget where Grace thinks to himself he wants to see Rocky lay eggs, aka jack off! I do have to wonder if the author was aware of what he was writing or he was just like "he's thinking this out of scientific curiosity ONLY". I hc on the trip back since Rocky was embarrassed eating and shitting in front of Grace, he forces Grace to return the favor. I'm sure there's probably fics out there if I look, but all the drawn porn I've seen has been some degree of mouthing or penetration with a xenonite dental dam/condom. It really should be about trying to perform in front of someone watching your every move, especially with how sheepish Grace would be. Several years of getting berated by a scary space monster whenever his breathing gives him away from half a ship apart and he's coming out of this with some strange kinks.

Yes same! The first tag I looked up after I finished PHM was masturbation because I found that they couldn't actually touch each other (ik I posted a fanart of them being able to but I just did that bc it has Rocky's book design, I actually think that they can't touch each other is such an underutilized trope!) I also like that there's the plausible deniability of it being for science for both of them not to mention the research that mentions (and is the reason why the HM's astronauts were originally in comas) that humans would probably go crazy stuck together in those circumstances for several years so I imagine at some point Grace starts losing his mind and Rocky is desperate to keep him from losing his shit both mentally and physically (since he has to rely on the taumoebae for food) so the boundaries between platonic/sexual begin to blur.
>xenonite dental dam/condom
WHERE'S THE FROTTING, WHERE'S THE MUTUAL MASTURBATION, WHERE'S MAKING AN INVENTION JUST SO THEY CAN HAVE INTERCRURAL SEX. Penetration or oral can be so overrated sometimes.
>he's coming out of this with some strange kinks
YES!!! Your brain is so big, Rocky has great hearing and before on their mission I'm sure Rocky was too polite or too ignorant to say anything while they lived together! Now with his access to all of Earth's knowledge and the exasperation that can result from rooming with someone without having a mission to distract you, he is very uncomfortable with Grace's Weird Noise Made In The Excretion Room. Not to mention Grace's sheepishness and him slowly losing his mind. Nona I love you.

> I can't imagine something like that taking off 15 years ago.
I think people were more willing to ship "weird" things before. Remember that people shipped Bill Cypher with Dipper and Bill is a literal fucking triangle. Oncecest, etc.
On a tangentially related matter, am I the only one that feels that people have been treating shipping too much as a stand-in for what they want in a relationship or have been twisting almost any ship into always being vanilla and domestic even if they aren't?
I feel like there's less people shipping weird ships or ships that simply would feel interesting dynamic-wise even if they wouldn't be the best romantic partners.
As if shipping has to equal a healthy loving domestic relationship, yknow?
Maybe it's me because in my fandom, there's a hero-villian pair that quite literally don't interact with each other all that much and don't really care about each other that much but people love to make them domestic, fluffy AUs, "powercouple", acting completely ooc from their original selves.

 No.14177

Funnily enough I actually happened to stumble upon the complete opposite today where a JP artist ships the Pokemon ORAS male MC with Steven except that Steven is a full blown kidnapper yandere in these artworks while in canon he's just a regular guy with completely neutral interactions with MC. I get the impression that JP artists are more likely to shoehorn in a yandere dynamic while western artists shoehorn in domestic qualities.

Bill was usually humanized though or rendered as blipper. It's the same thing with people who were big Wheatley fans, while on-model fans existed it wasn't the default. Project Hail Mary fans are intriguing to me because I haven't seen a single humanized version of Rocky, it's cool.

You bring up onecest, but I think one of the big reasons that took off is precisely because people weren't willing to ship him with the Lorax because that'd be "weird", and there were no other characters to ship him with (though I remember a few time-travel works with Ted.)

>On a tangentially related matter, am I the only one that feels that people have been treating shipping too much as a stand-in for what they want in a relationship or have been twisting almost any ship into always being vanilla and domestic even if they aren't?

That or 2edgy garbage where a characteris inexplicably a rapist for no reason. There are some people who find a dynamic they like and then just write every couple the same exact way regardless of the characters. While I'm of the firm belief that every ship has the potential to be domestic or dark depending on what you choose to focus on, it's pretty obvious when an author just decides to ignore problematic or boring elements of a character to do what they want.

The main people that do tbh are closet RPFers and make human!Rocky look like his VA, and they have unfortunately been growing in numbers. But I am glad people are pushing back against it and calling it the coward's yaoi. I will say one good thing about the PHM fandom since I complain a bunch about them kek is that a lot of the "platonic" art is only platonic in name and is indistinguishable from romantic Grace/Rocky. Which just confirms to me people are just afraid to push back against popular fanon.

I haven't seen the movie yet but I notice this kind of thing is really noticeable in other fandoms when a ship is considered odd or "problematic", there will be fanart where the characters will be kissing each other on the cheek and blushing but the artist will swear up and down that it's completely platonic and you're a terrible person if you ship them. It's very funny whenever it happens in a fandom where the relationship with the most development in canon is between family members (FMA, DMC, Arcane, etc.). It's like, besides yumes and OC ships, wtf else are people going to ship? I'm always surprised at how much Elricest has died down but looking through the general FMA tags and I will see lovingly rendered art of their bond and little to none of Winry despite this artist's recorded history of being mainly a shipper in their other fandoms kek. I think it doesn't help fandoms are so extreme. If you ship any controversial ship, effectively your only audience from then on will only be other "pro-shippers" who most of the time are just as guilty as being OOC as "anti-shippers" except with way more noncon and who are very annoying at competing with each other for being the biggest edgelord.

This is definitely one of the reasons why readerfic and selfinsert seems to be everywhere now. The dedicated slash shippers will usually latch onto the nearest male character who is in the appropriate age range and is non-related, whether or not he has interacted with the guy they want to ship him with. These ships end up becoming my NOTP fast even if there is something in the dynamic that I think could be interesting, because that's never what I'm going to see.

Yeah… I've read a few Main Guy/Closest Breathing Male that I enjoyed, but by and large it's horrible. Thor and Loki have the most tension, but that's icky—ship him with Iron Man. DMC is the funniest version of this, because people shipped Dante with Nero to avoid incest with Vergil, because when 4 came out, they were only distantly related. Then 5 released (well, that Japanese novel released first, but there was no translation for ages), and suddenly bam! Retroactive incest!

I wish people could write OCs better. I'd read Interesting Male OC/Main Guy in a heartbeat. It's much better than the alternative.

I think it's a bit funny how every notp shipper I scroll past also has proship dni in their bio. This isn't exclusive to one single fandom, but I notice it happens every time across them.

I'd never put a DNI list on my public profiles because I think it's really dumb to police who can like your posts based on shipping preference or headcanon. Yet at the same time, I have nothing to say to certain people who all seem to share the exact same hc nor do I want to see their posts.

Transformers has multiple "safe" couples that weren't canon until the comic writers pandered to them specifically. And every single person with these as their OTP are antishippers. They're essentially kiribaku shippers of the franchise but instead of getting mad you ship bakudeku they get mad over the bully x victim (who is also a bully) pairing with chemistry.

There are so many BL authors who make cookie-cutter fluffy romances nowadays (not complaining– I like those too) but her past stuff has always been very different from that. Was she trying to turn a new leaf to become more palatable for a Western audience considering how big of an art meme Nakamura came to be so she could profit off of that? Which cynically makes sense I guess, who wouldn't want to make bank by just writing a SOL comedy so they can get their other works published. It's a shame she deleted her socmed and who knows when Nakamura will update again and what will become of the storyline? When these situations happen I get why some fujos don't like marketing their stuff as strictly BL bc fujos (esp western ones) can be entitled when the story doesn't go as expected.

There's not many major female characters besides the MC's crush, the club leader obsessed with aliens, the journalist, etc. and they mainly play a role in the background and not much of the actual action. Why would anyone use that as an example of a fandom ignoring the relationships between female characters when we barely even see those characters interact kek. It's gotten to a point where genderbending the yaoi/het ships to become yuri is more common in that fandom than any actual yuri ship.

Again if these people actually cared they'd write their own stories, but you're correct fingerwagging about MP100 in particular is stupid. That *is* dumb, like you said fujos are more likely to create mountains out of molehills simply because that is what they're used to doing and how shipping fandom persists even after a work is completed. Their imagination & collaboration in a fandom despite the basis in the actual work is part of the enjoyment (and sometimes to my chagrin but I still respect them for it). But idk what about MB100 would attract those REALLY into female characters, like yes fujos have a predisposed attitude but it's not like there's even many bones thrown to hetfags or waifufags so why would they watch it? Only fujos, dudebros, or normal fans would be watching it and only the first group makes a lot of fan content.

But also its doubly dumb because MB100 is perfect bait for the broad spectrum of fujos (age-gap, incest, same-age, etc.) AND it doesn't even end with the MC getting with his crush and he's still single so there's even room to expand on those relationships afterwards. This is like wondering why shipping the LIs together in a romance media is rare…

Why are they buying clothes in the soup store? More importantly what the fuck even, there IS a yuri ship in Claw who'd die for each other in canon, you just don't find them attractive enough to ship, dumbass. That's why the only big yuri ship going for it is Reigen and Mob in drag, followed by jokes about the schoolgirls cucking Mob. Fujos will bend over backwards to ship ugly old men for their moe points, yumes will prop up a man with a face like a rotting zucchini, but yuributa tend to favor the pretty princesses and the handsome princes, so their choice of Plain Jane side characters is greatly diminished. There's a Korean series I'm reading and the fandom had a shock when the manwha adaptation reached one of the yuri ships, because newcomers all started screeching about how gross and ugly a woman was for being over thirty and having short hair. Period panties are good if you just stay at home and don't plan to go out. I sleep just fine when I wear one, and when I use a pad I bleed too much I just have to wake up and change my pad and sometimes my clothes as well. I assume this is also how you're supposed to use cups, I don't see myself spending nearly 10 hours in my work place and a bit more than that outside if you count commuting and errands without emptying a cup. I've never tried using one but I've been told to just empty it, wash it and put it back inside but who the hell does that in a public restroom shared with coworkers and other companies? So for me it's pads for when I'm outside and period panties when I'm back home.

GSGW. To give further context - when the character first appears she's confident, cruel, and doesn't think much of killing 'fodder' employees to survive, but she's not villainously stupid and stops when told it's detrimental. Commenters first assumed she had to be a man, then complained about her looks when told she wasn't. Her behavior played a part in the reactions for sure, some people blamed that for why they called her ugly, but the same arc introduces a researcher who gets off on sending people to die and he's a fandom darling since before we knew he was hot. The setting is a company that sends people into what's often death games to retrieve magic juice, if anything her practicality and mental fortitude is admirable and deserving of the meme label 'bad bitch', but she dared to have short hair and a round face. Looking at her again she looks kinda like a genderbent Kaiji character and you know fujos would ship that, morality be damned.

>>14364
Sleeping makes sense. I use washable cotton pads at night and it has totally saved me from sore skin compared to before. I don't know about wearing period panties in the day though because I don't trust the blood not to leap out the sides and get on my legs, and like the other nona says it'd be like sitting on a wet patch for hours if you didn't change. I use winged pads because there's a little extra protection holding any sudden surges back. I'm amazed every time there's blood going round onto the sides of the wings but none got on my pants.

Yeah I could never handle a cup in a public restroom either, I'd accidentally spill on my hands and then have to open the stall door to get to the sink. And I guarantee it'll be how I find out I bleed more than a cup's worth in several hours.

It's not a fujo thing, women in general get obsessed with something due to it's "aesthetics" or "vibe".
Look at examples like Saya from saya no uta, it became an insanely popular character despite 90% of the fans never even have played the game, just due to her aesthetics .

That's stupid in general and it's not just a woman thing, plenty of men for instance joke about just reading the doujins for gacha games because it's the "real plot." You can also link it to people who are big fans of characters like Morrigan and Chun-li even though they don't play fighting games.

It's retarded though, I despise these fake fans who refuse to engage with the source material. Even if you don't end up liking all of a show or you suck at a game if you care about a character you should invest time into at least getting to know them beyond the "aesthetic" or devaluing them to being just a spankbank.
