I don't remember where on fujochan it was shared but there was a statement on twitter by the anime production company or something where it was mentioned that Syundei requested the anime to be censored and that the anime doesn't condone student/teacher relationships but it's in there because it's a BL trope. Considering her past manga I'm very surprised she went out of her way to request that. There are so many BL authors who make cookie-cutter fluffy romances nowadays (not complaining– I like those too) but her past stuff has always been very different from that. Was she trying to turn a new leaf to become more palatable for a Western audience considering how big of an art meme Nakamura came to be so she could profit off of that? Which cynically makes sense I guess, who wouldn't want to make bank by just writing a SOL comedy so they can get their other works published. It's a shame she deleted her socmed and who knows when Nakamura will update again and what will become of the storyline? When these situations happen I get why some fujos don't like marketing their stuff as strictly BL bc fujos (esp western ones) can be entitled when the story doesn't go as expected.

I don't feel like watching the video, what were they saying about it? There's not many major female characters besides the MC's crush, the club leader obsessed with aliens, the journalist, etc. and they mainly play a role in the background and not much of the actual action. Why would anyone use that as an example of a fandom ignoring the relationships between female characters when we barely even see those characters interact kek. It's gotten to a point where genderbending the yaoi/het ships to become yuri is more common in that fandom than any actual yuri ship.

Like YOI, StM (why her publishers told her to market it as Boys' Life instead when the gay stuff motivates most of the plot and pretty much only fujos will read it, I will never understand), the Summer Hikaru Died, etc. because they aren't categorized as such and are ever so slightly different it does unfortunately help enforce the separation between BL and gay/queer (ugh) media. Apparently women in my city just hate period cups cause I can't find a drugstore in my area that sells them. Every other menstrual product is here. I sleep just fine when I wear one, and when I use a pad I bleed too much I just have to wake up and change my pad and sometimes my clothes as well. To give further context - when the character first appears she's confident, cruel, and doesn't think much of killing 'fodder' employees to survive, but she's not villainously stupid and stops when told it's detrimental. Commenters first assumed she had to be a man, then complained about her looks when told she wasn't. Her behavior played a part in the reactions for sure, some people blamed that for why they called her ugly, but the same arc introduces a researcher who gets off on sending people to die and he's a fandom darling since before we knew he was hot. The setting is a company that sends people into what's often death games to retrieve magic juice, if anything her practicality and mental fortitude is admirable and deserving of the meme label 'bad bitch', but she dared to have short hair and a round face. Looking at her again she looks kinda like a genderbent Kaiji character and you know fujos would ship that, morality be damned.

Sleeping makes sense. I use washable cotton pads at night and it has totally saved me from sore skin compared to before. It's not a fujo thing, women in general get obsessed with something due to it's "aesthetics" or "vibe".
Look at examples like Saya from saya no uta, it became an insanely popular character despite 90% of the fans never even have played the game, just due to her aesthetics .

I was gonna say there's already a bunch of SOL BL but I searched up NNB and I get it now. The countryside setting + larger friend groups seem to be less common from the ones I've seen since a lot of rural BL capitalizes on how "isolated" the couple feels (which I like). A fujobaity version of that also sounds so cool… just them being stupid.
