I am fully convinced that all men in bands have had a gay experience with each other. You put a bunch of 20-something-year-old horny guys in a van long enough that they just become prison gay even if they get groupies sometimes.
To celebrate Blink 182 getting back together, please enjoy one of the greatest tour dvds ever made.

Why were they so in love, sis? They are so cute. I'm two episodes in on Get Back and I can't believe it's like 70% just them staring into each other's eyes. And Paul's so cute with the beard. Is Tumblr the best place for content?
>>209Watched this too. Really great.

>>228They really are something aren't they? (Sorry it took me so long to come back, I've been busy irl…) I've been inhaling Beatles history and there's so much between John and Paul.
>All my fujo friends are morally against RPSHad someone jump down my throat about this on Discord lol I just kept telling her "I don't care, it doesn't matter to me" and she gave up lol.
John and Paul were in love and their story is fucking nuts.
Tumblr is a decent place for content but its really only good for images. I haven't seen a single person on there that's had a good written take on John and Paul so I'd advise not talking to anyone. I wish I could advise for more fandom hubs unfortunately there aren't any discord servers for McLennon that are also open atm. I think there's cute art on Instagram if that's your thing.

>>262I've been waiting for you to come back, queen! I've been on my obsessive shit for them, slowly going through the albums and trying to watch era-specific documentaries and stuff to get the full ~atmosphere~. I used pinterest a little for images, which was surprisingly okay. I miss LJ so much though, you just know that it would have had a kick ass pic spam post. Tumblr was okay for some interviews and gifs and stuff, even if you have to double check everything because the girlies there get very overly tinhatty and a little insufferable. I ended up stumbling on the Twitter fandom too and No thank you. Seemed really wanky. Terrible.
What's your favorite uh factual pseudo-date stories about them? Obviously going to Paris for John's 21st, and that time they shared a bed after hitchhiking to Paul's cousin's pub, and Paul talked about on carpool karaoke how they'd go on rowboat dates on a lake together and go really far out so they couldn't hear the guy calling them back in. It's so cute I want to die.
How are you inhaling Beatles history? Any good biographies? I still need to watch Anthology. I read like half of The Lives of John Lennon by Albert Goldman, which was not great McLennon content, mainly focused on John and Brian, and really bitchy and hateful. I also read like half of John Lennon: The Life by Philip Norman which has like one absolutely fantastic paragraph on McLennon.

>>263Moralfagging in fandom is an eternal problem. I get that people think it's disrespectful or whatever, and some of the crazy tinhat teens can be crazy. I wish we had locked livejournal communities again so we didn't have to worry about it as much.

>>264Hello friend! Thank you for being patient with me. Yes, pinterest is surprisingly good for Beatles stuff, I've found lots of good photos on there too. I also miss LJ though, it seems like the john<3paul community was hopping back in the day. I did join the Dreamwidth mirror and the mod accepted me right away!… but now my brain is so broken by the modern internet I can't think of anything to post there. I think I'm a hack! ;__;
>favorite factual pseudo-date storiesWithout a doubt the Celia story in picrel.
>be femboi Paul McCartney>score a date with a hot chick>heterosexuality absolutely airtight, just like your butthole>someone knocks on the door!>open it>It's Him>"babe, we had a date tonight?!">panik>you forgot to cancel>"uhhh hey so there's this uh girl–">"A GIRL?!">john invites himself along to your date>makes an absolute ass of himself in front of your date>you love it>you love him>date walks out on you furious>"why did you bring that awful guy?!">"oh come on, he's funny!">be femboi Paul McCartney>your heterosexuality is airtight, just like your buttholeGod it's just perfect. I love everything about it. John Lennon really crashed Paul's date just to piss a circle around him and run off poor Celia.
>Paul talked about on carpool karaoke how they'd go on rowboat dates on a lake together and go really far out so they couldn't hear the guy calling them back inuugggghhhhh they're so fucking IN LOVE its unreal!!! I can't believe they exist!!!!
No.273
>>272>How are you inhaling Beatles history?I bought a copy of Tune In on audiobook and am listening to it slowly. In terms of a less intimidating biography I have also started Bob Spitz's book which is simply:
>The Beatles: The BiographyIt does have a bunch of errors in it like asserting that John Lennon was born during an air raid (he was technically born between air raids according to the dates on the hospital records) and it lets the Lennon biopics influence its telling (John was never forced to choose between his mother and father, Julia showed up at Alf's flat with his roommate and they talked it out and agreed John would live with her) but otoh it's still a nice read.
I have a good friend that's been reading her way through the John Lennon biographies and she hates all of them because:
a) the author is seething coping and dilating that John's best friend was Paul McCartney and immediately uses the text to complain about what a loser he is - something demonstrably untrue since John stated on his last day of life that he loved Paul and he knew Paul loved him, and they remained best friends until the day John died.
b) the author is a Yoko Ono prostitute who is desperately trying to turn John into a martyr that was the love of her life, something else that is demonstrably untrue. There's tons to unpack about poor John but you can tell when the Lennon Estate is trying to whitewash his story.
My good friend hates Lennon bios for at least one of these reasons, usually both. I trust her judgment so I'm staying away from them for now. I will see if I can dig up any recommendations from her or anyone else if you're curious about him though.

>>272I have a very scientific interest in Bottom!John. I think John was so confused about what he wanted to do to bossy twink pseudo-girlfriend Paul. "Do I want to fuck him or be fucked by him."
There's quotes that say John liked dominate women but also fucked them, the inherent confusion in "I want to be dommed and also fuck them". There's that story told by one of his friends where he offer Brian a chance to fuck him but ended up just letting Brian blow him.
John really femmed it up with the long hair, round glasses, truly in his belated heroine twink era. He was always a little jokingly femme. Get Back was truly the Top!Paul, Bottom!John era with Paul's absolute amazing beard.

>>272>it seems like the john<3paul community was hopping back in the dayYeah I've heard that. I'm so jealous that I wasn't into them back then ughhhh!!!!!!!!!!!!
>the author is seething coping and dilating that John's best friend was Paul McCartneyI wonder if that's the Lives of John Lennon one. His entire premise from what I've read so far is pretty much that they were barely friends. His is such a bitchy 'John Lennon is a sell out, the Beatles were frauds, and I hate them so much' biography, it's crazy.
But yeah, give me some recs (especially of some crazy McLennon flavored ones.) I really expected the Philip Norman to be insane but it's mostly confined to one super paragraph and a few lines like saying that Paul 'wifely'. And showing how horny John was for Elvis.
I just need the McLennon girlies to write a whole ass biography. Just every moment down to the minute and have like, notes on how trustworthy the source is. Like "this is from Lives of John Lennon so question it but we like it".
Posting some great quotes, mostly stolen from Tumblr.

>>281Moptop John is my favorite since I can't vibe with heroin chic, I prefer John when he was big and hefty – more meat to get your hands on. John also had a nice scrumptious ass that's perfect to get fucked in.
Yeah, John's confusion is a really glorious mess isn't it? It's easy to see how he kept getting taken advantage of by people, he hardly knew up from down. He wanted men but mostly had sex with women aside from a handful of unconfirmed encounters… He would bend over for the right person, preferably Paul. He wanted to be taken care of and treated tenderly, he's meant to be a bottom.
No.285
>>282My friends have discussed some of the authors in depth, I'll go back sometime this week and summarize their notes. One of my buddies was actually pretty fond of Phil Norman because he had direct access to Yoko and Paul IIRC but then when he printed that John might have had a sexual thing for Paul, they purportedly got mad and retracted a bunch of what they had told him and pretended it didn't happen. But we had an entire hours long conversation about it so I need to distill it down to its bullet points, I barely remember half of it.
>the quotesAbsolutely insane. John never once let go of Paul. He's so good at pining kek.
No.287
>>283>It's easy to see how he kept getting taken advantage of by peopleHe really wanted a daddy/mommy so bad. He'd call Yoko "Mother". He wanted Allen Klein to take care of them like Brian did, like a weird father that tries to fuck him (sexually in Brian's case, financially in Allen's).
I read that the weird scream therapy he did with Yoko meant to be screaming for your parents or something (also apparently promoted that it could cure being gay).
I love this mess of complexes so much.
>>285Yeah Philip Norman was interesting. I just wanted more McLennon! I posted the paragraph with the sexual stuff, the absolute best paragraph. Made it worth reading. I need to read a McCartney biography too…
No.288
>>287John wanted love and comfort but because of his abusive background he was frightened of the steady and stable love he craved, hence why he ran to people like Allen Klein and Yoko. That mixture of being controlled and treated with contempt was all he knew, he couldn't bring himself to accept anything better.
>weird scream therapyYeah, Janov most likely tried to do conversion therapy on John, there's a good tumblr post breakdown of his homophobic behavior in 1970/71 and how this was probably the result of Janov. I'll dig it up when I'm not a sleeby.
>I need to read a McCartney biography tooMany Years From Now. It's definitely sanitized because Paul wanted to present himself in the best light but its also full of anecdotes about John and he even opens the book talking about John, see picrel. That's the place to start with McCartney imo.

So many fics and fanart from weirder ships of mine have been purged because god forbid nufandom finds out someone wrote incest fic or something. It's just swinging all the way to regular slash.
>A McLennon general sounds like a good idea nona, I'll get to work on that tonight. Take some photo dump in the meantime…Cool. And yes! I've been looking for a better version of that smoking pic. >>300 here you go fellow McLennonfag now we have a general all to ourselves.
>It's just swinging all the way to regular slash.Yeah, that's a better way of putting it. It's part of a general whitewashing imo especially with the way fanfiction has become really mainstream. So the scene has become gentrified. Ties into the rise of purity culture I think with normies trying to bully weirdos out of our spaces.
But at least we have fujochan huh
