If you boil down fandom to its basic element, it is a collective of free, public, and shared resources (the time and ability of fans) but there is no way to control that resource. Antis and himejoshi try in futility to redistribute it away from the problematic/yaoi and so too do I wish I could put the thumbscrews on the loathsome yet talented CxA creators for the glory of AxB. I'm sane enough to never resort to the shitflinging we see in modern times but I will not deny that I completely understand why antis/himes do what they do.

Does anyone have a beloved piece of media that is, like, objectively homoerotic, but you just can't be fujo about it? There's a book I've loved since childhood. Even though I'm way too old for it now, it still holds a very special place in my heart, and I reread it regularly. This book is VERY unintentionally homoerotic, to the point where some reviewers even complain about how gay the main character seems. I've even recommended it as a fujo-esque book to people because it's THAT GAY, and I know it would appeal to them. There's an entire paragraph where the protagonist details another character's ass, and that's not even the main source of homoeroticism in the story. I can acknowledge all of this, but I still can't bring myself to ship the characters or anything. I know why this is, and it's kind of personal, but it's just weird because normally, I'd be all over the dynamic portrayed in the book. It's the exact shit I love, and there are other stories with a similar dynamic where I DO ship the characters. This one is off-limits in my brain, though. Images spoilered because the third picture contains a major plot detail. The others do not contain spoilers if you want to see some funny reviews.

The show does a good job of capturing its appeal - just pure fluff romantic giddiness and minor school relationship drama. If you're not easily swayed by that or find it impossible to invest because of the character types/meta then it's not going to be much fun. I have no idea why the audience ended up as bad as it is, but I assume it's because it's so mainstream. There's no thread for dreams?
I had a dream of an old famicom JRPG with yaoi story. The uke was a hero on a journey to defeat the evil seme. It was early yaoi type story where the seme rapes the uke who secretly likes it. The seme had long blue hair and dressed like JRPG character from that era with huge shoulder pads and a cape. You went through some cave dungeon and the seme appeared to taunt the uke along the way. they released a remake of it and I watched some dude moralfag about it on youtube and thought I gotta play it, so I downloaded the original. Woke up and was a bit disappointed it doesn't actually exist.

Had one girl who'd always reply with shit talking about her body and it was the biggest turn off I've ever experienced, and I don't think she understood because I was okay with "ywn bend him over the kitchen counter and stick a cucumber up him, why live" kind of comments that
sound like POV self insertion, but are easily mob/other character proxy actions. If they're not fujominded they don't assume the same as me that a nondescript actor or character is doing it on my behalf, they don't realize you can't stomach literally them, a 3D entity.

And you can collect event rewards, it just takes more days of stamina dumping if you're stuck with only 1.2x characters. "To say that straight men are heterosexual is only to say that they engage in sex (fucking exclusively with the other sex, i.e., women). All or almost all of that which pertains to love, most straight men reserve exclusively for other men. The people whom they admire, respect, adore, revere, honor, whom they imitate, idolize, and form profound attachments to, whom they are willing to teach and from whom they are willing to learn, and whose respect, admiration, recognition, honor, reverence and love they desire… those are, overwhelmingly, other men. In their relations with women, what passes for respect is kindness, generosity or paternalism; what passes for honor is removal to the pedestal. From women they want devotion, service and sex.

>Is it worth checking out outside of just ship context?hrmmmm, I've read both the book and watched the play, I have complicated feelings for it, I personally like it but I know everyone and their mother hates cursed child People hate Albus's teenage angst with his father and people dislike the way Harry is written, I personally like it, but I'm a sucker for a trope where a father is lost and doesn't know how to deal with a kid who hates him. I think the Scorpius/Albus yaoi is very very good in it, in the play the actors want them to be canon but can't so they'll do tight lingering hugs that look like a near fake out kiss, adjusting eachothers ties while saying 'see you at dinner', and rubbing their foreheads together. I read it for fujo reasons and was content with what I was given.
>So do you like GoF being the starting point of the relationship or do you picture a different book? For me personality I like them getting together after school happens when they're adults, all my fav fics are based in post canon. I'm fatigued from fics of them getting together during school because my stupid ass back to back read a 600k fic and then a 1.2million word fic during that era lmfao
>I like the idea of Draco having an immediate crush during the first book and being miffed Harry doesn't return his offer of friendshipDraco is so fucking funny, he gets rejected once and then makes it everybody's problem for 7 years
