Back to positivity: one of my fav artists for chubby guys not only had their first manga licensed and released in English (full of typesetting mistakes but still), but has been making tons of GO fanart since S2 came out and it's all so cute and round. ;__;
Their manga doesn't get very far romantically between the leads so I feel apprehensive about recommending it as BL but I liked how balanced the story was between giving them both development and career progression. For a two volume long series I like a neatly wrapped up narrative much more than just speedrunning a relationship to the bedroom. Maybe it's not memorable or remarkable, but it's satisfying. I just love to explore how desperation, failure or alienation can make a character evil and how being evil is a punishment by itself. The amount of fujo fanart 2D dudes are getting. Have multiple folders that contain more than 10000 pics per series, my Transformer and Golden Kamuy folders have more than 20000 pics each. A recent pairing I got into already has 2000+ pics and they are just two older antagonistic weirdos and side characters.
And 99% of all of that fanart is either directly fujo or made by fujos. Some series or games I haven't even played yet like Disco Elysium and Mouthwashing have so much stunning fanart that I save it before even shipping anything. The enjoyment continues even after a series has ended thanks to fanart. Pretty, funny or hot pics are like additional content making me enjoy a series twice as much.

Like having them heading into the woods in the evening to hunt or search for herbs, berries, bugs whatever but using this mostly as an excuse to fuck or kiss each other since they don't have to bother about other people seeing them there. It's also interesting if they're close friends/comrades and but hiding this specific aspect of them and you get all other dudes being cool with them because they don't see it. Maybe nowadays everybody would assume it, but back then they didn't expect close friends to be gay, simply because it was such a sacrilege. So they don't have to hide everything, but certain aspects of it.
Really it can add another special layer to a romance. I absolutely need more gay knights, priests and samurai.
