This is harder to do when shy but it's important to shrug off their questions by just stating that's what you like. No big deal, you know? Follow this up by asking what the questioner likes but in a way that appears genuine and not judgemental. Be insistent and keep control over the conversation by asking increasingly more personal questions.
When you do this you'll find you will either be left alone or the person opens up when they find you not to be judgemental. They care less that noncon or incest is problematic when they've shared with you that watching men cry turns them on.
