And ahhhh I'm sure you're aware, but at the time they were airing both future and despair at the same time meaning people were watching both anime episode by episode at the same time, I feel like people watching both anime nowadays really miss out on this unique viewing experience plus the amount of outrage each episode would generate lmao, I remember certain f/a/ns being mad that people were calling Juzo just because of how insanely homoerotic he was and then getting btfo'd when Juzo was unambiguously revealed as a closet homosexual and not given the plausible deniability (in the minds of moid fans) that characters like komaeda and Ishimaru get

Picrel (left) is from a big standard otonoko manga/webtoon, he's by far the best character but I wouldn't recommend reading for him as he gets shafted pretty hard for the main het paring

not really surprise homo but Ryuji from that crossdressing anime is really cute, very glad he likes Makoto as a boy and not just as a crossdresser, i can't really recommend it to fujos as even though he briefly hooks up with Makoto it still ends with the het paring

It's kinda funny how this came out just before Cherry magic. New boss is not officially BL but the dynamic between the main guys is tapdancing so hard on the line between friendship and actual homo in a way that I didn't expect when I blindly picked it up for being an office comedy about healing from abuse.

Was sending a friend MWAM songs and there's a bunch I didn't realize were used as theme songs on films or anime because I just buy the albums and listen to it. I was laughing at Spear Rib wearing a card wolf mask on his wolf mask when it suddenly hit me that their music video for the movie Crows EXPLODE is kinda gay just because they picked a really romantic song for the film. I've never read the Crows manga, but there is only one explanation for this song apparently fitting it and it's that aniki had a tight bond with his bro or something idk.

Not really too unexpected, but there are two cases where I didn't expect the fujobait to be that blatant:

Think about old shojo manga where the MC gets her shoes at the end of her school day to leave and go home and some mysterious hater put thumbtacks or water in them
