why do bl manga always end at five chapters
No.24
I can't have access to MRM anymore because it's blocked in my country but BL manga tend to be released fairly often so I buy volumes translated in French and they're often uncensored. So far I have:
>Akamatsu and Seven, all three volumes, I wish it were longer though because the yakuza subplot was kinda interesting
>a few manga by Harada, I just started Happy Shitty Life and it's hilarious
>Megumi and Tsumugi, I hate omegaverse but I found this one funny. I bought the Japanese volumes because I didn't know it was also translated in French
>Kikuchi Encount was funny, I thought the melodrama in the second half was unnecessary and kinda ridiculous though. I also have other manga from the same author but I can't remember their titles
>Oni to Tengoku is great, I'm really looking forward to the third volume
>Midnight Alliance was ok, I mostly bought it for the waiters because I thought the crossdressing twink was a bit annoying
>Anything by Niyama is good. I have the first two volumes of boku no omawari-san, the cat and dog (whatever the title is), and the manga with the yakuza and his adopted son(?) in Japanese, and the other manga in French
Among the ones I sold:
>Yarichin Bitch club and Neon Sign Amber. I'm considering buying her more serious manga that I already read online
Honto Yajuu, it was really fun at the beginning but I don't care about the new couples
>Junko's manga, I think her art isn't good enough for BL
>first two volumes of In These Words, something about the French translation made it really annoying to read
No.25
>>23Samefagging because my previous post was already too long. I guess most BL manga are one-shots because they usually don't sell enough to have more than one volume? Even if BL is kind of popular female otaku it's still niche and authors release new chapters very slowly.

No.29
>>26Yeah, that's me. I didn't save any of my posts either. I dont't think I mentioned anything else that wasn't mentioned in my previous post, actually I had to make this one very short because of the character limit. I think I will use this thread to talk about the manga I bought and if I can recommend them or not.

>>24Anon, it saddens me that you have this website blocked. Have you tried getting the Hotspot shield extension? It works for Firefox and Chrome as well and the free version works nicely for me, doesn't even slow my browsing. I recommend it and I hope that it works well for you.
No.33
>>31I haven't tried anything so far, I just decided that it was finally time I bought volumes of the manga I've liked so far. MRM is blocked here because of the shota content and I don't feel like taking risks in that case. If it were blocked just to prevent piracy I would have tried to use a VPN though, a friend of mine told me it works with a VPN but I don't remember which one she uses. I was in Japan for a semester not that long ago and only bought manga, no doujinshi, so that's what I miss the most, but as soon as I go back to Japan I'll buy a shit ton of doujinshi.

started reading this (

>>99i love niyama, i'm still looking for the Goriyou wa keikakutekini bl cd.
No.101
When I lived in Japan for a semester I bought several manga because I thought they weren't released in my country. They're mostly from Niyama and Owal, and there's also one called Midnight Alliance, it's two volumes long. The problem is that actually, as soon as I went back to my country the manga by Niyama and Owal I bought just got released there as well and they're not censored. Once I can go back to Japan I'll see if I can sell what I have in Japanese to a Mandarake and if I can buy the translated versions of the ones I like. And then I'll finally try to look for doujinshi.
Just on top of my head, here's what I can recommend:
>Anything by Niyama, especially Boku no Omawarisan like >>131 said
>I liked Kikuchi Encount despite how melodramatic it becomes in the middle for no reason at all, the other manga by Owal are just ok to me
>Oni to Tengoku. I love the art in that one and I'm looking forward to the third volume
>Midnight Alliance is ok, for some reason I have a hard time remembering kanji so I understood the story because of the BLCD, don't even ask me why or how I did that
>Honto Yajuu is good, but it's been a while since I read it. Last time I read it new couples started being introduced little by little and I didn't really care about them
>Dousei Yankee Akamatsu Seven is good, but the last chapter I read ended with a cliffhanger so I'm catching up with the French official translation. So far I only bought the first volume, I'll buy the rest next week if I'm not too lazy to go to the bookshop
>By Harada I liked Happy Shitty Life (didn't go very far until MRM got banned in my country though) and Suki na Hito Hodo. I didn't like Color Recipe so I sold the volumes I had. I'm gonna get the official translation of Happy Shitty Life to catch up
>I liked Pornographer but I haven't read the prequel titled Blue Indigo. I'll try to buy them as well
>I liked My Little Inferno but couldn't get into the other manga by the same author for some reason
>I liked Hitsuji no Kawa no Kita Kemono, by the author of Acid Town. Speaking of which, is Acid Town even over? I just read the very first volumes when I was still in high school, what's up with that?
>Ogoretsu Tanaka makes good BL but I disliked too many of the characters in Yarichin bitch club. Is this one on hiatus btw?
>I couldn't get into In these Words because of the sometimes weird French translations. The first sex scene was spoiled by the fact that the characters were talking about it like they were reading an Ikea desk instructions to build it or some shit
I should probably take my time to add more entries to that list later. By the way, I've had so many problems with excel sheets at work that I don't even dare to add anything to it just yet.
No.433
I just bought the second volume of My Little Inferno today, I'm glad I couldn't find scans for it at the same time as when I read the first volume online, so I didn't know what to expect. I liked it a lot, I wish it were longer.
A friend told me Kuro Gyaru ni Natta whatever was updated on the website I use. Not sure if it counts as BL but imo it might as well be. I hate how long it took to get the 40th chapter, I hope we'll get an uncensored official release in my country someday so I can reread it at my own pace.

Not really medival but Soitogete, Ryuujin-san is about a dude who "befriends" a cute dragon and they fuck, human form included.

For some reason I didn't expect the story to be so cutesy because it's about two guys hooking up like once or twice per chapter and the very first scene is about the two of them fucking in the seme's apartment as soon as they get there but it was overall very romantic. I didn't give a shit about the second pairing and wish they didn't exist so I could see Takane and Minami a bit more but they're almost absent in the last 3 chapters in the second volume. Anyway, it was fun and cute but nothing ground breaking. I haven't read the other manga I ordered yet.
I'm still waiting for the French publisher to release the second volume of Sonna ni iu nara daite yaru because they said it would get released in 2023 and there's still no news. ngl i do agree that there was way too much empathises on how girlypop the two male leads were as it was a bit too troony for my liking, i'd disagree that all the female characters were portrayed negatively as the mc's mum was shown to be one of the only non-homphobic characters
>while said rapist gets not only a tragic backstory abut also a sequelomg stop, pedo-kun is actually my husbando, I love the absolute melodrama and insanity he brings to the manga
my only real issue with the manga is once again the subtextual troonery and also the blond being a straightfag who's "only gay for you" which was kinda retarded if the manga wanted to go the realistic route, also i wanted the two main homos to get together but alas desu

I started Tourou No Ori/Mantis Cage today. This might be one of the best BL, if not manga i've ever read. Every single page packs so much emotion and intensity, Psyche Delico is a genius. I love finding female mangaka with the same brainworms as me, every ero scene is perfect and plays out exactly like how i'd want it to go. It's so wicked, so savory.
Last time i had such fun with original BL was when i started reading Asumiko's BL works. I think i'll buy the whole manga in paperback aswell
>>2772>what did you guys think of J no Subete?Adored it. It felt almost too good to be true, to see someone as talented as her release something that's so 'old school yaoi' in spirit. >>3225I assumed you were baiting the first 5 times I read your reply but to be fair I've never seen anyone aside from me hating it. I understand liking homosexuality in BL due to the taboo aspect of it but
>males having any attraction to women is gross to meSo men being attracted to women is gross but them hating women isn't? I've read BL where male characters had graphic sex with women and I didn't like that either but they also shouldn't be constantly speaking negatively of them. And that's my issue rather than my own homophobia. The excerpt you posted literally has the faggot who's about to rape the soon-to-be-tranny mentioning his evil mother. And that scene where one character thinks about how gross women's bodies are and then throws up for comedic effect. Like what the fuck was that. Also the mc's mother is either the mangakas self-insert or her editor was responsible. I just can't comprehend how anyone could look past the tranny shit or the misogyny.
