Not the entire movie (although I guess there's a few one-off scenes that could be viewed with a fujo lens), but in Porky's there's a side plot that is basically Cavanaugh learning to overcome his bigotry against the jewish guy, Brian. And a lot of this side plot has all the makings of a gay coming-of-age story where a homophobic closet case comes to terms with being gay. Even my non-fujo sister that I watched the movie agreed and thought his side plot was meant to be a subtle nod that Cavanaugh was gay. And a lot of Cavanaugh and Brian scenes really linger on for too long. Like the scene where they leave together in Brian's car. Or the scene in first picrel, it lingers on Brian looking confused for just a little too long. None of this is helped by the fact that Cavanaugh straight up tells his abusive dad that he'd rather be queer than become an abusive asshole.
>>538I only read the book, but I remember being disappointed by the fact that Ponyboy/Dallas wasn't that popular of a ship. I thought the way Ponyboy talked about Dallas in the book had a lot of gay energy.
