/ot/ - Off-Topic

We have a gaming thread on /ot/ literally called "VideoGames Thread" which is where this should go. I liked the original Mon-musu haven't tried Paradox, but it's kind of off-topic for the site. MC is cute, but it's more basic than AliceSoft's rpg outings.

In addition to the video game thread that the other anon mentioned, we also have a VN thread on /ot/ called "Visual Novel Thread."

I have also played some Rance games by Alice Soft but I prefer Monster Girl Quest so far.

I found out there is a Gatcha Tower Defense game of MosuMosu and it has animations and everything its great I don't know how long it takes to unlock all the content though

I started it many years ago when part 3 wasn't out yet, got stuck on giganto weapon and then dropped it until recently I did a full replay and finished the entire thing this time. The writing has more effort put into it than it needed to for a porn game and I'd like to try paradox at some point. This definitely contributed to giving me an oneeshota fetish and at this point I don't like hetero in general unless the dude is helpless or pathetic in some way, whether it's physical or mental. Too bad that off the top of my head the only other relevant male characters are adult men cause I would've liked to also imagine a homo option for Luka on the side but shota x adult human man isn't my thing. Of course I know that for this type of game it makes sense there wouldn't be an obvious gay option for the male lead but I once heard someone say that Rance has well written male characters so I could imagine that a fujo who plays Rance could find some way for gay to happen that suits her preferences.

Kind of funny you don't see a lot of 18+ yaoi RPGs or any featuring gay content in general. I can think of like one bara RPGmaker game and that's it.

Sorry, I hope my post didn't come across as an personal attack to you. I can only kind of see the appeal of playing them for the shits and giggles. I watched a Rance live stream once and it was kind of unintentionally hilarious but I'm not sure how it has any well-written male characters like this guy. Rance kind of reminds me of the Hadaka Shitsuji guy for some reason though.

And mon-musu TD is its own thing not related to mgq it just had a collab with it and other hentai games. Most of the girl designs in that game look like ugly overdesigned gachaslop cosplay to me. I looked through all of them on a wiki out of curiosity once and couldn't even guess what most of the girls were even supposed to be at a first glance and I'm familiar with a lot of mythological creatures even obscure ones. They even took the Simurgh bird known for being majestic, loving and motherly and turned it into a uguu loli that calls the shota mc onii-chan and papa.

Do any of you actually play these for the monster girls or is it just the shota rape that is appealing? I just want monster girls without the shitty succubus-ification of them and hentai moid shit but that's just asking too much from the world I guess.

Oh MosuMosu? its fucking great. It has many scenes where you get to play with mc's Luka or other mcs depending ont he game butts. Look if you are into femdom you can like those games. The RPG mechanics are fairly plain though you won't feel challenged.

I think the difference is that those all have prominent male characters and a fujo-friendly fandom, whereas this doesn't. We're slow enough that we don't really need a /v/ board and most of the time we just use the video game thread. Just like we don't have an /a/ but have a general anime and a BL anime thread.

Honestly the MC is too young for my taste though I don't think he's supposed to be shota pretty sure he's a standard anime teenager so that wasn't really the appeal for me. I played Mon-musu because it was suggested by someone on another site and I like stuff like Monster Musume so I figured I'd give it a chance. I think it's fine, the actual gameplay is RPGmaker so I wouldn't recommend it unless you won't be bothered by how ecchi it is. The character designs are all really good both for the monsters and humans, and there is a real plot, but the point is the het fanservice if that is going to bother you then you probably won't get much out of it.

For my money if you want Monster Girls with some cute boys on the side then Rosario+Vampire was peak though it's much more "human" designs. MC should have fucked the werewolf boy who was clearly into him.

Yeah, same. For me with Rance is honestly that I don't mind the degenerate kinks there or how moid coded that whole game is, because ultimately it's all a cartoon, its all so silly and unserious and genuinely funny. I can be about both types of domming, that self-inserting as the dommer like in MosuMosu Quest or getting dommed like in Rance, it's a matter of taste.

Also Rance is literally like an amalgamation of all the moid anons at 4cucks or rather what they wish they could be, including the humor. To the fujo that asked if Rance has good male characters… Lol, lmao even.
No. Not at all.
Some have deeper story arcs like Rick Addison which has character arcs in almost every game but no they are not deep at all and Rance is just a typical Murder Hobo Gary Stu that just goes around like Conan The Barbarian traveling, doing quests, having sex and finally killing some evil wizard in a tower or a demon king and then being hailed as a hero. That's it, thats Rance. It's a Robert E. Howard story. There is nothing more to it. If you can be into that then get into it. The gameplay difficulty of Rance is significantly more challenging than MosuMosu Quest though and it's not even close, I have to stop on my tracks and think for a bit when playing Rance or look for a guide online because some bosses can be rough or require very specific abilities to defeat, otherwise you have to overlevel which is boring and grindy.

Here you go this video explains Rance super well, the point of the game is that it is retarded. Skip Rance 1, you don't even have to play the games in order, literally doesn't matter the game is very episodic, like a super hero's cartoon.

I'd recommend to
Jump straight up to: "Rance Quest" (Rance VIII) released on August 26, 2011. Follow a guide because the game is hard.
