That's a funny coincidence, just the other day I mentioned on another site that I was thinking of getting into gundam and over there was also the consensus that I should just watch it in production order. I've got some other stuff on my backlog right now but when I'm done with that I'll go ahead and download a batch of the first series.

I think seed and destiny were the best.

>>2734If you're already watching the TV series I recommend sticking with it, I like Char's characterization better in it anyway. The Zeta movies make no sense and really weren't necessary.
>Kind of liked Garma for some reasonCharma is fucking amazing.

>>2741Thank you for the food, nona. Decided that I like this pairing and was delighted to find that other fujos have been shipping it since the beginning of time. I didn't expect this much engagement so early, but I sure as hell am not complaining.
Also, is the Origins OVA any good?

>>2748Thank you, nona, means I've got a good excuse to pick of the rest of the omnibi. Also thanks for the heads' up, might still watch it, but am glad to know.
Currently running through AO3 and desperately hunting for doujinshi, the only thing I can really find is some fangirl uploading old doujinshi covers from the 80's, so enjoy vintage Charma I guess.

Welp, I'm in rarepair hell.
Charmuro wasn't working out and Charma was clearly OP.
Finished the full series. …The ending, damn, I can see why Charma was the flagship for so many years. Char going "I'm done with this thing" –→ "Actually no, one last thing for my friend"… Epic.
Anyway, Amuro breaking apart was very cute and felt real. Since Bright is equally pretty young, even if he's more experienced than Amuro, it would be fun to see the two bond and grapple with their feelings, Bright wanting to ease the pain of his crew but not being sure how, given his lack of experience, and Amuro looking to him for guidance on beating the shell shock, intensifying the guilt on Bright's end.
This might be the first time I've shipped something that isn't telegraphed super hard in the series, just because the characters seem like a good fit that would have a cute love story.

>>2761Went to see if I had saved any stray AmuBrights over the years but it is extremely rare now that you mention it. Even if he has slight presence in Zeta shipping he's often the token hetero, especially because he isn't married to just some random chick off-screen.
>Char going "I'm done with this thing" –→ "Actually no, one last thing for my friend"… EpicIt's very nice if you believe *Char was most likely intended to suicide in the final episode until the movie trilogy noped and Char having only the bitter memory of Garma* contrasts with Amuro returning to the whole White Base crew with the encouragement of Space Lalah to boot.

>>2762Had a vague notion that asterisk made spoilers here but apparently that wasn't it, eh whatever.
No.2764
>>2762Awwww, thank you nona! This is so cute, Amuro's youthful enthusiasm still shining through, despite Bright's weariness, love the idea of Amuro dragging him to age appropriate venues like arcades and conserts during the time they spent on that one base where Amuro encounters Char and Lalah.
>>2762>>Char suicideAhh you're right, those vibes were very much there! The contrast is super nice. Currently reading through Char's Daily life, and it's really, really beyond measure sweet to see the boys just getting along and doing dumb stuff together.
Also on an unrelated note, do people prefer gay relationships to be fine in Gundam world or not? Is there any canon on this? I'm curious since I recently came across some dj with gayangst back in the day for another series where I didn't expect it would be a thing, and it got me thinking.

I'm the type of person who takes forever to get into a series unless I have a push and while watching another movie I noticed there's an upcoming Gundam Seed movie that's apparently a sequel. It'll reach theatres here on june 22nd so I'm considering jumping into Gundam with Seed because I have a push and a time limit motivating me to watch it. Does anyone here have thoughts on this iteration? I'm pretty curious.

>>2869Nvm I started reading the thread and for some fucking reason the OP is the kind of dick to go 'but they're both straight' He can go die, eat piss, and suck twenty million dicks >:C
We need to avenge this. Maybe we should steal his idea and add the actual homo.
No.2871
>>2870I didn't read the thread much but I figured it's made by Zeon fanboys to make Zeon finally win more than Garma fans lel.

No.3353
>>3352I am divided on this. I think the trailer looks pretty good and unlike GWitch I actually like the designs and the robots and colors are very cool. But I am also a bit disappointed that it's another girl mecha again.
I will probably enjoy it but guess we have to wait for Obari's next show to get gay mecha again.
No.3363
>>3352>>3353I don't expect any homobait from this one.
No.3364
>>3353>>3363my impression was the same, but Gundam usually has a pretty big supporting cast so there might be some good side character homo potential. the main trio just give me het love triangle vibes.
the staff + Take character designs pretty much guarantee it's going to spawn a ton of fanart so I hope there's some good material.
