Though Paxton seems to be getting plenty of ship art and his design is not my taste but I'm probably in the minority on that one. The ZA protagonists supposedly being young adults probably makes all the difference (honestly I thought they looked the exact same size/age as Rei and Akari in their official art at first), but I guess modern clothing is still always more popular.

It reminds me of Japanese women wearing the same sleeves and leg protection under their business casual dresses to avoid tanning. And it also reminds me of how in SM when you used one of these pokemon that replaces HMs you automatically wear ugly as fuck protective gear instead of your own outfit, or how in SWSH when you rid your bike you automatically wear a biking outfit. But at least they're not hideous uniforms like in SV, maybe it will be possible to customize their clothes later on. As for the starters I don't really have an opinion. They're not ugly, they're cute in a generic way, but I need to know how they will evolve. I'm sick of recent evolutions looking like random guys wearing furry costumes and looking like Disney parks cast members instead of cool monsters. The fire dog seems very popular so far. It reminds me of Missile in Ghost Trick.
The truth is that I'm not planning on playing the new game. I'm not going to buy a Switch 2 because I want to save money for other things, I'm not even done playing all my Switch games and games on other consoles, and I found gen 8 and 9 a lot less fun than previous games so instead of think "oh shit a new Pokemon game, I can't wait to play it!" I'm just think "oh there's a new game announced, ok" and that's it. I'm still curious enough to look forward to the next trailers though.

I didn't play BTOW yet so I have no opinion on the matter but I liked Xenoblade 1 enough and loved Xenoblade 2. Exploring all the areas was very satisfying even when it was difficult. SWSH kind of made it work because the game was on a regular map with smaller routes and big cities, with an open world area in the middle and I liked the open worlds in the DLC a lot. In SV it felt like it was too much. You have access to everything all at once but it feels more like a chore than anything else with how gym leaders and team star bosses's levels don't change depending on when you fight them, which made me look up everything online while playing. Which sucks. If the new game is more of the same stuff I don't want to play it.
