Thank you so much for making this! I was thinking yesterday how nice it would be to have an audio/BLCD thread.
I'm mostly into doujin audios with simple scenarios and a listener x uke format. Usually there's no complicated plot and barely any names mentioned, which is perfect if you prefer to fantasize about your ships or ocs without a whole other story breaking the immersion.
Daisuke Shindou's voice is amazing and I'm always excited to find something starring him. Sometimes the audio has him screaming like he's getting stabbed multiple times, which isn't always my favorite, though. Definitely prefer listening to softer, sweeter moans.

Ayrt, now i'm curious about the vn, what kind of name is "VS. Teacher: 1000-character Showdown"!? It sounds like an educational typing game. Daisuke's work mostly appears on DLSite in the doujin section, so I recommend checking there. His voice acting was really cute in picrel imo, but it's a make-up sex scenario after getting cheated on by the listener, and track 3 and 4 can probably be skipped, since there's enema and piss drinking.

Oh, so the way you do it is you listen to stuff at random on DLSite? I think I would grow discouraged fast, since it's plot over fetishes for me. Is there a database of BLCDs out there, sort of like VNDB?

kek, kind of, admittedly in the doujin audio section it's a lot of listening to sample audios and slogging through crap before finding something to buy. What about your favorite CDs? Which one had the most interesting story so far?

I have pleb taste - the DRAMAtical Murder ones. They were one of my first BL CDs and still have a special place in my heart.

Not an audio drama, but an audio book, but still related to the thread? Is there really so much demand for audiobooks of BL light novels to warrant making a new production in English?

Bought クズ人間 during the sale. It's a fun story about a yakuza assassin subcontracting his jobs to a sex-starved, pachinko-addicted underling and paying him with his body.

Recently been getting into BLCDs by listening to adaptations of manga I've read (as a form of rereading and also because my japanese sucks and I didn't want to get too lost), and picrel is my fave so far. My biggest hangup with manga adaptations has been the way CDs who adapt too closely to the source material often suffer from weird dialogue pacing (characters having spoken lines and thoughts too close to each other is fine in manga but feels really awkward to listen to imo), but picrel manages to change things around enough that it doesn't feel that way. Also the audio work is great in general, good voice acting, great sfx and the few soundtracks there aren't distracting (saezuru cds I'm looking at you).

Does anyone have original (non-adaptation) BLCD recs? I'm looking for couples stuff (no x listener) with good chemistry and simple-ish plot (gonna use it to practice language).

Nope, since I've been learning Japanese. They have so many names in canon that adding another one is no big deal.

I think most stuff on DLsite is a non-adaptation and includes the transcript too. Just MTL the transcript. I think it's rare for BL audio dramas to have complex plots since most of them are one-off releases.
