here's a list of recommendations from the old site.

I'm currently reading The Winter Prince by Elizabeth Wein, and I'm amazed at how it has everything I want in a story (so far): tragic, broody MC who's obsessed with his too-pretty half-brother and also wishing to kill/betray him to take their father's kingdom for himself. The vibes are immaculate. Chef's kiss, even.

Only a few chapters in, but I'm hoping it keeps being amazing. Also: the art I'm sharing has nothing to do with the novel, except I'm imagining the characters as vaguely resembling the drawings here.

Addition: there's also a pretty spicy age gap, if you're into that. MC is like, 22, his half-brother is 16-ish (so far – there might be a time-skip).

i wanna recommend some chinese bl novels… the humour might not be fully relatable/lost in translation if you're unfamiliar with the language, but i really liked them. I found the scum villain novel pretty funny and entertaining, but my top recommendation is 2ha/erha if you want some good angsty storyline.

I haven't finished it yet, but everytime we get to peak at the main lead's thoughts, my heart gets soft. He so selfless but still flawed, all the characters are (especially the main character lol) which is why it's so interesting. I really feel for him and had my eyes watering at some point lol. I also like some of the symbolism in the story, with the plum blossoms for example, even though that's def not what i came there for lol there are translations available online

yes, it's m/m…or at least heavily baited. brooding m/c can't stop talking about his brother's "striking beauty" and also at one point slept in his room while nursing him back to health.

finally done with the winter prince. this book had its issues (a little convoluted at times, weird pacing, some character inconsistency/petty drama) but it's apparently the author's debut novel, so – go figure. major plus: the writing is consistently good all throughout. there's some real scenery/description porn in this one.

i think you'll enjoy it if you love hate-shipping/tension (and incest, of course). that being said i'm not sure if i'll read the others in the series, since they're apparently focusing on everything else but the brother's relationship.

on the homo: there's only one kiss between the male leads, and it's a quick one – feelings are never exactly resolved – but it's obvious that lleu & medraut are obsessed with one another.

Anyone else liked Voinov's Special Forces series? His other stuff is kinda bland to me though. Also nonas who like sci-fi might like Mana Francis.

vampires. does anyone have a good book to recommend involving vampires. not anne rice, i've read her stuff already.

I loved Hako No Naka so much; I'm so glad I read it. I like Konohara's works in general, but I wish their translations were as good as this one.

Same on all counts. My fav BL novel. I've read her other works, but the translations weren't as good, so I wonder if they would hit even better with good translations. I'm about to read Sleeping Bunny.

Enjoy! For BL (and danmei), you can try novelupdates.com as they usually have links to translations. Otherwise I just look around for a specific title and occasionally they come up in random places, it's kind of a crapshoot for me honestly…

With Western M/M, it's much easier, you can try libgen.rs, mobilism.org (3rd party hosting so keep adblock on and be smart) and some large torrent trackers as there are often M/M packs. Also you can look into getting books from IRC.

Samefagging to say zlibrary seems to be accessible from tor so that may also be worth a try. (Their domain was seized but not the servers). May be worth trying if you're looking for something specific, but you'd have to look more into it

Tried yesterday for myself and indeed zlib still works over tor. Lots of JP language releases too for anyone who can read it. Ok gonna stop shitting this up here.
