Been playing Outer Wilds fun time loop game which I'd recommend. Besides that sinking way too much time into Hyrule Warriors.

I’ve been emulating DS games on my phone and it’s genuinely tanking my productivity. Finally played The World Ends With You this way (after hesitating on the modern port for like two years) and it was a lot of fun, although I had to get creative with control settings for some parts of the game. There was a fair amount of fujobait-adjacent dialogue in the middle of the story too so, all in all it was a really neat experience.

yes! being able to go through so much art is one of the reasons i’m glad i finally played it. i’m usually not that keen on the really wild and angular early 2000s square enix style, but in the game it really works and a lot of artists draw them so cute.

i need to pick up some rune factory. i’m already emulating a couple harvest moon games, though, so i’m a bit overloaded with farming/life sims at the moment lmao. and good luck on controls if you do get around to twewy. it does help that the game’s difficulty settings are super flexible, so i could give myself extra leeway if i was really struggling, but ymmv.

I played No More Heroes 1 and 3 over the summer and I'm midway through the 2nd one now. It's quickly becoming my favourite video game franchise and I'm so sad that it doesn't have as big a following as other hack and slash games. Maybe it's because they’re Nintendo games and the target audience for hack and slash doesn't tend to play games on those consoles? I personally think it was an intelligent decision on GHM's part to have these games be on the wii and the switch because of the motion controls. It actually feels like I'm hacking and slashing instead of just randomly mashing buttons lmao
I was also shocked to see not a single person shipping Travis and Henry together, like they're long-lost twins and they're rivals, what more do you need? They're so ridiculous and over the top together, I can't help but want them to make out sloppy style in the motel parking lot. When Henry kabedoned Travis in the 3rd game I straight up started levitating. There's no way they don't fuck. Still, not a single fic on ao3 and no ship art on pixiv either. I guess it's up to me to rectify that.

Has anyone picked up Metaphor ReFantazio? Are you liking it so far? I was planning on getting it because some boys caught my eye but with such a hefty price tag and no way to pirate it (yet?) I'm holding off for now. Plus I'm not a fan of Hashino as a director.

I'm not buying it yet because I'm playing the games I already have for now, but I plan on getting it later. I'm ok with waiting a few years though, just in case there's a new release with more content, Atlus loves doing this instead of releasing DLCs for Megaten games so who knows what they plan for Metaphor.

Since it's october I will consider replaying some of my favorite horror games,evil within is one of them.. made me ship Sebastian and Joseph, Joseph is way too cute.

Sounds good to me. If I wanted that I'd just replay an actual Persona game on NG+. I wonder if there's a calendar system or something similar though. I hope not, unless it's not as limiting as what's in P3 to 5.

There’s definitely some sort of calendar system because it was shown in some of the trailers, but I’m not sure how it works. There’s a few articles about it and they all say it’s a lot less oppressive than Persona’s calendar system.

If that's true then I shouldn't mind it. I should try the demo, maybe this week, that way if I don't like it I can just ignore the actual game and if I like it and play the full game I would already be done with the introduction.

I saw someone say there's super minor implied potentially romantic if you squint your eyes and tilt your head, but it doesn't seem like it's actually substantial. Like all the bonds (social links) in the game are platonic except maybe that one if you read into it hard enough. Which it feels like you could probably read into all of them if you put your shipping goggles on.

They are still annoying about it with Metaphor despite the fact that you can't romance any of them. All discussions about there being no romance are so funny to read because there's normal people who don't care about romance and realize there's a time and a place and Metaphor is not one of those, and then there's the guys crying that they can't romance the fairy or the red girl and how it's a fantasy game and that realism doesn't matter and all the most retarded defenses for why romance should be in the game.

As has been discussed on other parts of the site, Mouthwashing knocked it out of the park with the unexpected fujobaity/gurobait. As a starving ryonafag, I felt fed for the first time in a while by a new media. Does anyone else have recommendations for games with similar bait? I don't play games that often and I'm not familiar.

Ahhh yes mouthwashing was amazing, I havent enjoyed such a genuinely fucked up and intense ship in so so long, Jimmy being a true irredeemable scumbag with no redeeming features was so fun
I'm afraid I can't recommend any games of the top of my head with a similar dynamic as these two, if you don't play video games often I'd honestly recommend blvns instead which tend to have a fucked up routes as the bad routes, I remember paradise having a route that was pure domestic abuse though but I'm not sure if that's what you're looking for

I don't recommend buying the whole game for this but you might enjoy outlast whistleblower, there's loads of gurobait and one of the antagonists is obssessed with domestic delusion and making the mc his wife
you get to see him chop a dudes dick off while the mc is forced to watch
