Back in the old days when I played TF2 I really liked medic and even had him as my main. I didn't ship any of them, but I liked looking at their fanart.
Maybe it's because of being constantly killed by pyros from burn damage, but for some reason I hated Pyro.

Have any of you played TF2 and did you have a main or a favourite character?

I grew up watching my brother play, and recently he's finally convinced me to give it a go. I only have the courage to play Medic, but it's really fun. Other than that, I have been watching Gmod/SFM videos, the Meet The series, and let's plays since I was a kid. All the mercs are so lovable (and attractive). I'd say my favorites are Medic and Pyro.

Haven't played the game, don't know shit about it, don't know what the characters are like and I don't plan to engage in it but the fanart is top tier and the fanfiction is good.

God, the shipping in this series is too good… Engineer x Spy (aka Napoleon Complex) is my favorite. Smoke Gets in Your Eyes by NoCapes may be my favorite fanfiction ever despite it being unfinished. It's on AO3. Red Oktoberfest, Sniper x Spy, Demoman x Sniper, Soldier x Spy is often pretty interesting because of their dichotomy, Helmet Party… KGBigelow made amazing fanart of those two back in the day, NSFW pics related. I was really into Heavy x Spy as a kid for some reason but I can't see myself shipping them anymore. I think it was because I was interested in learning Russian back then and they probably both speak Russian fluently. I should read Demoman x Soldier more often since they're friends in canon.

I don't think I have a specific TF2 ship, I don't even play or know much about the game aside from various YouTube animations. I just like Lunatic x Lunatic ships. They all have a chance to be together but please do educate me if I'm being too ignorant.

Agree, surprisingly unexplored ship.

I also feel like Heavy tends to be ignored outside of pairing him with Medic and I wish there was more content of him with literally anyone else.

Honestly all the characters have interesting dynamics and I don't hate any pairing.
