There's already a politics thread on RPS. Not that the people in your image are real, but anyways, I guess my point is people definitely have a thing for 'inappropriate' fujo ships.

Anyway it's not the entities, it's the art style here. The guy on the left should bottom.
No.4412
>>4411I don't think it's in appropriate, but I always wanted Mercutio and Romeo to hook up. That's definitely the moment where I was in class, just sitting there thinking about how this Shakespeare story would be INFINETLY better if Mercutio was topped by Romeo or something. Forget this Juliet character. I mean this unironically btw.

>>4412New ship unlocked, Christ. Romeo and Mercutio… Interesting, what was your reasoning?
No.4416
>>4415Well it's been a while since I've read Romeo and Juliet but basically Mercutio really, really like Romeo and he also really dislikes Juliet. Even with no homo subtext it's clear Mercutio is jealous is friend is into someone else. Tybalt even says some shit like
>Mercutio! Thou consortest with Romeo! To make fun of Mercutio's obsession with Romeo. And consortest back then can be taken in a quite sexual fashion. Aka Tybalt was basically call Mercutio homo right there, but Tybalt means it as an insult.
Plus, when Mercutio sees Romeo is 'too far gone' with Juliet he curses both their households, gets pissed off.
Big Mercutio pining, at the very least.

No.4419
>>4416>>4412When we did Romeo and Juliet one of my English teachers talked for a long time about how it was implied Mercutio was gay for Romeo and how the scene in Romeo x Juliet (the movie with Leo) where he does drag is a reference to his gayness. She wasn't just reaching to validate her ship either, it's a pretty common interpretation as far as I know.
Totally off-topic personal story: she also had us memorize excerpts from that play and recite them to the class one time. Gave us a whole week to prepare but I was lazy and didn't do shit. Ended up just trying my best to memorize the easiest looking option everyone else was reading theirs off. Luckily, my name got called near the very end and I had enough time to memorize it and recite it perfectly. My smugness must've been unbearable that day.

>>4418>>4419Romecutio head canons, go.
Also lol, love this random slice of life nonna. Ah, high school. I used to do that too, for vocabulary quizzes. I'd memorize everything about an hour or so before and just wing it. I kinda miss that in a way. My English teacher back then really hated me, for unrelated reasons.

Speaking of literature fujoism, I was curious if fanfic for william faulkner's the sound and the fury existed. i moseyed on over to ao3 and i was happy to see a handful of quentin/shreve fics. lol, quentin compson was canonically a true blue siscon but god bless, fujos still found a way to inject the gay. he's easy to mold into the suffering male fetish / angsty aristocratic pretty boy archetype that draws fujos like catnip so im not surprised he got the fujo treatment. that, and the only other major male characters to choose from are a hate sink and a literal retard.
No.4429
>>4426I quite like Lord of the Flies shipper shit, as well as Catcher in the Rye. In once scene, Holden's teacher caresses him in his sleep, as he's crashing on the man's couch with nowhere to go. Holden rightly freaks out, but I like to think a love affair blossomed instead. Alternatively, he still freaked out, but instead of fleeing he just let it happen because he needed a place to stay.
No.4431
>>4429based holdenposting. it’s been a year or two since i last reread it, but there’s so much fuel for gay interpretations there. like, the one classmate who “knows all the flits” in school, or the way holden continually struggles with intimacy with girls and women (being unable to kiss his crush on the lips, sending away the prostitute, etc). and if you believe in the theory that holden was molested and/or that mr. antolini was trying to molest him, then there’s even more subtext to work with; like the boy who committed suicide at holden’s school, and then had his body carried away by that same teacher.
sorry for the sperg. i’ve just fallen down the rabbithole on this book so many times.

Got called in to cover a music class for an afternoon last month since the school couldn't get subs. Basically just amounted to me putting on an early 90s PBS program for each class. The show was hosted by Penn and Teller two magicans I had never seen before. They were so handsy with each other and by the third viewing I had a thought like "I hope there is fanfiction of these two."
It was mortifying because I couldn't tell if they were playing characters or just being themselves. RPF has always been something I've avoided like the plague, but that was a moment of weakness. Wasn't alone though, there was like 30 fics none to my taste, lol.

>>4429>Lord of the Flies shipper shitI need to know, who did you ship from it? I thought Piggy was cute
>>4409Imo politics is a great breeding ground for fujo brain. Also government, the military and police. And I say this as someone who hates these institutions. But damn are they great settings for m/m.
No.4438
>>4436>RPF of two adult menAt least it's not like me when I was shipping the actors for Henry Danger and Captain Man. I was a freshman in high school and didn't even watch the show, I just saw a random blooper of it and latched onto the ship. As far as I remember there wasn't any rpf fics of them, but the characters had some.
I still think about it everytime I check my ao3 history and some of the earliest fics on there are the few Henry Hart/Ray Manchester fics from before April 2018.

>>4412>>4429yeah I'm also prone to just…random thoughts of fujo-ism, and I'm so glad I'm not the only person who got a bit insane about the books I was made to read in English class. i actually read some Lord of the Flies fics ages ago, they were pretty good. never read catcher in the rye tho, but I *did* read The Outsiders and that's still got a lot of people making content for it on ao3. and I understand why.
>>4437amen to ya with the military part especially. can't stand the military in reality but I like military fiction for some reason, and it's an EXCELLENT setting for slash content. very often an all-male environment, the machismo attitude is pretty common and that leads to a lot of dick-measuring contests (metaphorical and sometimes literal) that get very homoerotic, it's so perfect.
No.4880
>>4739speaking of the military fiction thing, a "random thought of fujo-ism" I vividly remember was reading this one creepypasta with a military setting and got sidetracked fantasizing about the protagonist and his best friend screwing…
also, in a similar vein, random SCP articles…usually with characters who never appear outside of that lone article…sigh

okay so on /co/ there's someone storytiming this dogshit comic that somehow feels like a fan project despite being officially published by DC. it's terrible but the art is great. the artist definitely has a knack for drawing pretty boys.
and now I'm thinking about the demon boy getting fucked by his older brother.
No.4930
>>4929demon boy's family are crazy religious guys and his brother(who has angel wings because symbolism) was very abusive, going so far as to kill their father then pin the blame on demon boy in order to make their mother hate him. also attempted to kill him several times. including by strangulation.
angel boy also tries to strangle one of the superheroes when she tries to rescue demon boy after he gets kidnapped, and he says he finds her thrashing to be arousing. hmmmmm…
i wouldn't put it past angel boy to abuse his brother sexually as well…and then blame demon boy for "seducing" him.
this comic is absolutely shit but i'm about to check ao3 to see if anyone else had the same brainwave as me. yeah.
and seriously, this artist really likes to give the boys beautiful eyes. wow.

When I was a kid, I used to like some myspace band so much. 2 of the members were brothers, and I used to ship them and make up scenarios about them inside my head where their mom died and they trauma bonded over it and ended up in an incestuous gay relationship. I can't stop laughing about it.
