i never tried this, it seems really fun. do you have any tips or tricks to this?
what i have tried is pretending to be a gay guy and catfish people for online purchases lol. that kind of thing was really fun in my teenage years, and thanks to that i basically have a moid radar where i can tell if someone's a male or a tranny (male) on the internet. it's the little things!

Ok, so I think yes.
As an extreme fan of Made In Abyss I sometimes make replies on 4chan threads about the manga saying that Belafu and Wazukyan are secretly dating or that Bondrewd is getting railed by his clones, and some of the replies are funny, others are rude and one time I even got a reply by another fujo agreeing with me.
I also do that on Dragon Ball threads but I pour extra oil into the fire - with characters that are canonically brothers.

I shit up the Xenoblade 3 threads on /v/ because I've seen spoilers and the story seems retarded and I hate the twist that Rex may or may not have married and fucked Pyra, Mythra (understandable) and Nia (pure bs) and the retarded scrotes call him a chad for it even though it's nonsensical and ruins all these four characters.

What I can tell you from my experience is that I tend to spread chaos in non heavily anime focused servers. Something along the lines of people that like pepe/wojaks but aren't too 4chan literate either. I usually do it in the equivalent to the incel community in my country. The reason why it's best to do it with moids that aren't too imageboard literate is because they won't have the awareness that yaoi is a thing that exists. It's especially funny when you sort of destroy an incel's perception on what women like because they tend to respond very anxiously. It probably has to do with the fact that they realise they cannot predict behavior in women even though that's what their incel bible keeps repeating (i.e. women's taste are predictable, they all want chad, they all like to be treated like shit in bed etc…)
The real funny thing is how squeamish they get over the tamest images. Think of how much sexualisation you see of women in media (even western), no one gets squeamish about that and even women who hate that are conditionned to not respond so strongly. The moment I dared post an anime guy with a bis ass everyone in the server kept telling me to stop and that it was very innapropriate LMAO

This has legitimately happened in the servers in which I spammed yaoi. At first they thought I was simply trolling up until they saw I have over 5 640 images in my yaoi folder. There was a moid that was genuinely so confused over it that he wanted me to tell him what my sexuality was. He was desperately asking if I was a lesbian and I simply kept replying I like seeing men fuck.

BTW: picrel, one of the tamest pictures that was enough to cause chaos in a moid incel leaning discord server

I only used to do this a lot when I was a kid, back in 2009 or so. All my friends were men and I was just starting to get into the yaoiz. I would use tinyurl to redirect to a yaoi image with a caption like "palutena hentai" and make them open the yaoi. Posted straight up NSFW and tagged my friends on it on FB like shipping friend A and friend B "this pic is them lmao XD"
However…most of my friends didn't exactly mind. They would play along with the jokes too.

So fucking strange. Fujo posting is probably the most surefire way to tell if an anon is actually a woman. Straight guys aren’t into it, trannies aren’t into it (usually are into male-oriented lesbian or very weird fetish stuff), all you are left with are gay guys and if you know anything at all, you can easily tell apart the content they like from what women like.

I think I had back in /vp/ whenever there's a thread or post about male Pokemon characters. Moids would lose their shit and "REEEEE- FAGS FUJOSHITS FUCK OFF" One time they spammed ecchishit on a Pokeboy thread out of sheer spite. Gosh, /vp/ is such a shitshow. Was on there from the early SM cycle to SWSH's DLC and I ended up bailing on the board since it's just the same 5 topics on loop every day. While I miss having an excuse to share my art collection it's just not worth visiting.

/co/ does have gay/men threads (usually started with a picture of Nightwing’s ass), but it’s mostly gay guys posting muscular cape characters or very feminized femboys/traps sadly. The cartoon boy threads are more fun, but those often get deleted by jannies prematurely.

IMO the closer you get closer to 3DPD/normalfriend stuff, the worse anons get. On the flipside weebs tend toward accepting fujos as allies, and /co/ has some fujoposting but it's a cointoss on whether or not you'll get pushback.

Like, there's adding a dash in extras to get a bit more of a following, but then there's series where it really just feels like the author is specifically having a laugh adding homoerotic stuff, Golden Kamuy being a pretty obvious example.

For me it's less I think they add it on purpose and more I think the writers don't understand how fucking gay they've made a dynamic between two male characters. Historically when creators are made aware of the popularity of a gay ship they are either puzzled or actively condemn the shippers. Like, YOU wrote it this gay, what were you expecting? I can't think of a single fandom where the canon main character/main girl ship is overwhelmingly the most popular ship.

I feel like the people who want to avoid this need to hire a fujo sensitivity reader or something.

I think some authors do it for the money. They notice how many fujo fans they have and want to cash in on it but don't want to lose their straight male audience either so they don't want to make any pairing canon.
I also think that some authors find their fujo fans amusing because of some form of homophobia. They don't think a relationship between two men can be as serious or deep as a het relationship so they make jokes like "oh yeah they are fucking but jk they actually are not".
There are some authors where I suspect/tinfoil that they are in the closet. Example Himaruya Hidekazu. He prefer drawing men over women, the way he draw men is more similar to the way gay men draw than the way straight men draw. I think he is aware that his audience is 99.9% fujos but he doesn't seem to mind and hasn't really attempted to appeal to men later in his career. Which is ironic bc the early webcomics where meant to appeal to a 4chanish crowd Hima is also known for being extremely private and we know nothing about his personal life so him being gay isn't unlikely. Anyway I'm getting off track, what I mean is that I think that some male authors are either gay or bi but don't feel like being public about it which may reflect in their work

One of those guys later made a discord server and started advertising for women to join it so he could ask for feet pics which we found out cuz an unhinged yumejo with rape fantasies actually went in there and flirted with him to make blackmail material. Fat lot of good her "trolling" did as we lost both the /cm/ and /vp/ threads to shota and furry spam for months.
