I've told him before, but I think he thinks it's just a fetish as opposed to more of an interest in shipping and the romantic relationship between two men. He's into lesbian stuff so he had no room to talk lol.

My boyfriend isn't really into anime or anything like that so most of the culture is strange to him. He finds waifu-culture off-putting and weird so I'm sure he'd feel the same way about my husbandofaggotry.

I'm still working on getting him into the medium, we've only been together a year and a half so there is still a lot of room for us to grow and learn about each other's hobbies and interests.

my husband is the same way, he likes some mainstream shonen but he thinks most anime/manga is "pervy", but my husband is into some of the 'classics' like cowboy bepop, samurai champloo and I recently got him to watch Code Gease and he liked it, so maybe you could introduce your bf to those series first

my partner is a heavy weeb because of my terrible influence over the years.
he's learned to put his yaoi goggles on, and watches all kinds of bl/otome shit with me. he ribs a little fun at it sometimes, but only about as much as I rib his isekai harem stuff back. It's a nice balance. we both have our 2d oshi, so our house ends up being a little like pic related (and the dynamic too tbh)

I've always been single. I'd like to meet someone who wouldn't mind, I feel like I'd have more chance of find that kind of guy in anime cons than anywhere else because I keep seeing young women buying BL manga during cons with their boyfriends following them and not minding it or casually talking about BL like it's nothing weird or offputting. I feel like the kind of male weebs who are genuinely bothered or disgusted by BL are the ones who only care about the Shonen Jump's super popular series and who think a well written manga is a manga with powerlevels and fight scenes only. You know, the type who go to the gym non-stop to "look like Goku". They're too normie and annoying for me, so I'd rather have an actual 100% normie guy who doesn't care about any of this or a 100% nerd knows and doesn't mind it.

He doesn't really care. Part of why I was initially attracted to him is because we'd talk about fandom stuff (Homestuck, lol) and he didn't act like it was cringe when I started talking shipping. I like to think there is a certain comfort in dating a fujoshi because our (or at least my) interest in 3DPD people that aren't him is non-existent.

My girlfriend is also a fujo like me so she actively encourage my fujo ways. Simple as.

My boyfriend is a bigger weeb than I am and has seen way more anime, but I am the bigger coomer/obsessionist. He likes to tease me about it, but he likes that about me and is actually happy to listen to me rave and rant about characters he has no attraction toward. He will watch my favorite shows with me. I love getting the excuse to relive middle school nostalgia through his virgin eyes by making him watch stuff like Black Butler or Hetalia.

I totally relate to this. In my mind it's my boyfriend > 2D/fictional characters >>>>> all other real people.

I am to autistic to ever get a partner but I know a fujo that did and he was angry/envious or something that she was into hot 2D men, they broke up at some point.

I met in a con a yumejo fudanshi which had have only fujoshi partners
