My time to shine.
Since 2016 up until now, me and irl friend have kept our RP going, created 5 different planes of existence, 3 separate main AUs we go back and forth with and now we're starting the new generation with their kids (they had the kid together with the magic of yaoi)
I don't RP much these days sadly but I'm open to anything new and exciting always.

Holy shit i've been roleplaying with a girl since 2014 and the RP is still ongoing (although a bit slower now). It's actually pretty insane how much detail and insanity there is now. She isn't as much of a fujo as I am but we have roleplayed pretty fujotier stuff throughout the years.

i rp a lot of on forum sites. mostly i use pixel-perfect and cttw to find places to write. they kind of suck though because these spaces are so full of trannies (aidens and enbies mostly). also: women REALLY bitter about their female characters not getting any attention in the past, so they weaponize the idea that m/m shipping is ""problematic"" or ""fetishizing"" and such.

it's such a niche hobby of mine though and i can't really give it up. anyway i miss the good old days where everyone was edgy and i could openly say something like: "i wanna rp brother incest angst on this high fantasy site xD" without getting e-murdered.

Used to rp on omegle a decade ago kek. I liked it because I didn't have the stamina to keep anything going longterm and things were so much more relaxed back then. Where do people rp now? I looked at f-list but it's mostly moid shit.

That's honestly really impressive, anons. Can you tell us a bit about your RP(s)? Especially any savory ships/pairings. I'm jealous of stuff like this, it takes a lot to maintain a roleplay for that long.

i used to role-play a lot, but i'm just not happy with my writing any more and don't have the time to practice.

honestly? i almost never did pairings. i did some self-pairings, but the idea of role-playing ships with someone else was just too embarrassing to me and i'd always be way too cautious about not doing anything that might make things awkward so it would just go nowhere.

OCs only, but some of my OCs were loosely based on canon characters, just with a funny spin. i had one who was straight-up based on a pro league of legends player, but in an appropriately fantasy setting.

I miss it a lot. I don't RP anymore, but when I did, I went hardcore. It was mostly yaoi shit for some otome game, but I created worlds out of their worlds, and I had RPs last for years. Now that I'm out of that fandom and have been for the past four years, I don't really RP.

Oddly specific, but I don't really care. Luca/Elias from Wizardess Heart was probably my favorite.

I like it, I just don't ship my OCs with canon. I prefer my OCs to have meaningful relationships with canon, just not romantic.

Not necessarily, but it reminds me of the fact that I RP'd with some gay autist scrote when I was a tween, and he catfished me. Apparently, decently hot guy was not decently hot, and he was a 300 pound permanently physically disabled fatass living in his mother's basement.

Honestly, my desires in roleplaying probably keep me from actually roleplaying. I miss the days when we could roleplay really fucked up shit on LJ/DW and nobody would accuse you of genociding gay men. Having an RP buddy was part of that close-knit feeling fandom had then.

My roleplays with the girl usually involved OCs we have created. We have done many roleplays in many genres, either historical, medieval, science fiction and fantasy. (Sometimes we even liked to fuck around and role played actual real life historical figures or current political figures, I remember having to roleplay former french president François Hollande in a BL setting lol). There has been art of the OCs we have created but I'd prefer to not post because it might out myself (and her) a bit too much. There have been a bunch of r18 scenes but general fluff as well. Since she wasn't as much of a fujo we also role played yumejo tier stuff as well. We liked to throw in some sort of drama for the characters to navigate through and a lot of the times we also role played /ex/ tier stuff such as torture, rape, humiliation, yandere characters and erotic murder. Good times. Something about traumatising your characters was very fun too.

I love roleplaying yaoi. I don't care if it's a cringe hobby, some of the roleplays I've had on top of being extremely hot are also so fukin comfy. Like I'd roleplay anime guys kissing and cuddling and falling asleep with each other and it literally fills my heart with such comfyness that i'd fall asleep as well. Especially if I RP late at night. Sometimes when I look back at some of my RPs I notice 80% of the content is just very comfy cuddling sleepy guys. It's the same feeling i get when i look at cute sleeping animal vids on youtube. It's like COMMMFYYYYYYY…. Anyway YAOI instead of sleeping pills. Combats insomnia very well.

Kek this is literally me and my girlfriend, we've been RPing with our OCs with multiple AUs for at least a decade by this point. The lore has gotten insanely detailed and you could write multiple book series based on all of it. It's nice to hear other people being as crazy.

I've been rping bl for a decade now, mostly with one friend, but I'm disenchanted with it because she won't let me play any bottoms or even a switch. It sucks to always play the top character, mostly because it's predictable.

I'm sorry to hear, she might maybe be a fujoyume that likes to play bottoms exclusively because she gets to self insert as them. I like to rp both top and bottom dynamics but i usually rp the bottom cuz im too lazy at coming up with interesting scenarios sometimes. She might also simply be lazy too? Either way to try to ask her about trying to rp a different trope too from time to time. I'm pretty sure she might also be a bit bored as well if she's been rping the bottom for a decade now. You can always break the uke/seme stereotype as well if she for examples really want to rp a shota/effeminate guy or something by making him a bratty top or something. Basically don't feel restricted by uke/seme trope, try to add in some of your creativity. Also world building for the RP could help a lot with making her want to try to RP another trope too. Add some interesting lore which will make her want to explore the world and excite some curiosity in her which might eventually transport to some curiosity in roleplaying the bottom. I think you may be right. I've played all kinds of tops in an effort to keep myself entertained, but she exclusively makes uwusoft/femboy traps. She's expressed an extreme dislike for masculinity, which sucks because I've been really into muscles and masculine bottoms (like your pic) as I've aged. I've made masculine characters that weren't meant to be paired as tops, and she treated them with hilariously abject disgust. I'd like to find a more mature rp partner who's open to different dynamics, but it's hard to find women my age in this hobby who aren't super "woke", like poster 210 mentioned.

As a longtime roleplayer I loved reading all the replies in this thread! It often feels like fujos have the most elaborate and well-written RPs and a lot of original stories seem to spawn from these settings. I'm old and most of my RP buddies have abandoned the hobby altogether but I'll never forget the amazing adventures we went on with our characters. The ones who persist still keep delivering and only get better with experience.

I play both tops and bottoms and like "uwusoft" bottoms along with many other tropes, but I used to RP with someone who was fucking crazy about traps because she wanted to self insert so bad. Literally every character she RPd was a passive softie fulltime crossdresser and it sucked all the energy out of the situation when she gave me nothing to work with and she got mad every time I just hit a wall. She also wanted to have it rough and I felt extremely uncomfortable RPing as a man manhandling a female adjacent.

Also agree about finding a RP partner that you share the same tastes with, it's insanely difficult especially in this day and age when your options are either cuddly coffeeshop AUs with transmasc self-inserts or genuinely unhinged shota (often also transmasc self-insert) daddydom pedo roleplay that makes you feel like you'll end up on a watchlist. Not to forget the already mentioned yume RPrs who attempt to hetbend the ship any way they can and complain about their female mary sues not getting any attention.

My RP past has been saddening to say the least. Started RPing with a friend from first year high-school on Line messenger because the stickers and emojis there were cute as fuck and gave flavor to the RP. Created two OCs for this specific RP, her writing style matched mine and complemented it nicely. Then she became insecure about her writing after she befriended the senior shojo weeb girls, they had a raging hate boner for fujos so she also became insecure about being a fujo and kept it a secret, i was openly a fujo so she told me we can't hang out at school no more. Our RP turned into her handing over her OC to me to RP both parts while she reads. She would comment on how she wanted the scenario to go like and for edits to be made and that was fine by me until she started hanging out with these girls more so she'd leave me to write for her for a week so she can have a larger amount to read by the weekends, if I don't deliver or write less than last time she gets upset and motivate me to write more until I just gave up and switched it up to writing full on chapters. Still do to this day and I can't seem to wean myself out of this. It's been 7 years. I belive the power of anons here will help me out or at least if someone is interested to start something new, I'm too afraid of leaving my safe space but I trust any fujo from here.

Hey nonas, one of my really good irl friends/rp partners randomly deleted our very long, extensive rp servers without warning so years of my artwork and thousands of hours of writing (including completed works) are literally gone. They seemed very nonchalant and insisted that "they thought I wouldn't care because they'd been inactive for so long" which is horseshit. I confronted them about it and it turns out that seeing our little server icons was so emotionally traumatic they needed to nuke everything in order to feel "better" and TBH, I'm at a loss. I kind of want to just cut them out of my life for being so disrespectful and selfish. Am I being unreasonable?

Oh, huh. Is there anyway we could just turn this into an rp search thread? Alternatively, I guess I could make an rp search thread myself. Just seems silly not to ask when we've got people on this site who might be more than happy to partner up.

they dont hold much data, but its prolly enough for the things you care the most about
at the end of the day, there are only 2 types of files: the files you have backed up, and the files you are 100% ready to lose at any time for no reason
