Random thought, but what are the cutest Kemonomini boys? Cat Ears x Dog Ears are cute but also very common, anyone seen anything else cute?

I like to think of kemonomimi as a full package with tail and some physical or behavioural traits. Long fluffy tails are fun for cuddling and bothering. Animals that emote strongly with their ears or tails always get bonus points, but something like a bear you'd choose because it has associations with being big, soft, heavy, sleepy (hungry?). Bunny boys pull silent faces of disdain when they hate something and just as silently flop over and show you their vulnerable side when comfortable. Hamster boys are terrible at staying still when they're awake, hoard snacks like the world's about to end, and sleep so heavily they fall off the sofa. Mythical fox boys are carrying an impossibly plush portable bed everywhere they go, a bed that can snatch and hold up anyone that displeases them.

I usually like dogs a lot and apply cat-like traits to others because it's very readable. I think back when tsuritama aired I started using komainu for fantasy kemonomimi because there's a protective, possessive element you can work into it. They can be naturally antagonistic against sea dragons if you want bickering.

How do you feel about snow leopards who hold their tail in their mouth for comfort? The ears are similar but they have a softer feeling personality, maybe a little anxious. Tigers I expect to be either a boastful young man or an experienced older guy with a little clumsiness (on account of his "big paws", you see).

First of all I wanna say that the discernment you did about the types of kemonomimi boys is fantastic and very well thought out.

On the snow leopard x tiger topic: I can see the snow leopard carrying a more calm and collected attitude, maybe even reserved at times. The tiger is definitely a more extroverted type, could get loud at times but knows when to quiet down.

The snow leopard ears seems to be fluffier than the tiger's, just like you mentioned, adding to the softer feeling personality. I can picture a tiger type getting curious about a leopard's ears and wanting to touch them, making the leopard feel fairly flustered and shy.

I also enjoyed that you mentioned the clumsiness of the tiger because of his "big paws", taking into consideration his entire physique I could see him being of the athletic variety. The snow leopard seems more lean but also not frail/unathletic, so maybe not strictly academic, probably an artistic type? A musician maybe.

I like to imagine the snow leopard having a stressful moment where he has to bite his tail and the tiger goes in, to comfort him of course, and kisses his lips while the other is still biting his tail.

All of this got me thinking of very cute scenarios.

Loving the detailed posts in this thread. Bunny boys should also be a bit skittish around others they don't know, total nervous classmate who panics when approached by another.

I'll also add sharks boys. Sharks see in black and white and have trouble distinguishing divers from animals like seals. We also see them as a bit fierce and aggressive since they're predators.
I like the idea that shark boys are tough and macho, but when they think no one is looking they wear glasses since they actually have vision problems. They hide it since they think it makes them look like a dork, but actually no one cares except them.

>sharkboy trying to look tough waiting for the train but his eye is watering from putting in contacts in a hurry
Sharks often cause damage or injuries because they feel around with their nose and bump objects to check if they're alive, but they leave their mouth full of sharp teeth hanging open at the same time. I bet sharkboys open mouth stare when they're thinking hard, and give nose kisses to their partners.

On the subject of toothy boys I wonder between sharkboys and croc/gatorboys which one has more braincells. I think sharks are more cautious whereas crocs stubbornly stay passive and cool for as long as possible before taking chances with a surprise bite. Young crocs are cheeky and make a lot of noise about themselves but really crocs just wanna lie about together and wait for someone else to bring them good things. It's not lazy it's efficient! Bring him his MaccyDs or he'll cry! For real!

Croc tails get pretty fat so they're probably full of awkward moe pretending they haven't noticed someone wanting the seat next to them that their tail's occupying. They knock things over in stores and walk away very slowly after staring at the source of the sound. If someone grabs their tail and pulls them they're split between snapping at them or just letting it happen. Their snapping can be just ineffective complaining since bending around to attack is kind of a bother.
