I don't know why but when I was a fujo I always hated the most popular ship in my favorite series.
Like USUK or Jotakak. Maybe it's because I felt that the uke acted way too OOC most of the time and he was turned into a submissive, girly sissy.

I just thought about it: do you think there were already Sherlock Holmes/John Watson shippers back in the 19th century while the short stories and the novels were being published? A bit later there were people who argued that either Sherlock or John was secretly a woman because of their relationship but it doesn't really count:

>>104I always wonder about fujos from the olden times, like what did the prehistoric fujo think? Did she ship Boog and Goog together? Pretty sure there was a lot of incest involved too.

No.1634
>>1633Yes! I'm happy someone else here has read it. I remember there being an active fandom on FF and Deviantart back in the day but I don't know if one exists now. Almost put this in the "Obscure Ship" thread, but since I know there is a backlog of content I figured here was the best space. Fanart was scarce when I was looking for an image for my post, there were like three pieces on Pixiv, and I couldn't properly search DA. Still if you find anything good let me know.
>I loved Cooro, from his design to his positive personality.Cooro is a great protagonist, there are a lot of series which focus on positive characters in a less than stellar word, but Cooro feels very genuine due to his past with his mom. Also agree the designs in the series were on point, it's not just cutesy nekomimi and the animal elements are added in very interesting ways.

>All the main characters had so much trauma they deserved to find happiness and Cooro's personality is just the right spark of optimism Husky needs. This exactlyyy. I love optimistic characters and you can tell that Husky admires Cooro sm
> I remember there being an active fandom on FF and Deviantart Good to know that there are old fanfics on FF now I will find them hehe
>there were like three pieces on Pixiv The lack of fanart on Pixiv doesn't surprise me. The manga never got an anime adaption or drama cd or anything. I don't know how many fans it has in Japan. Tokyopop still decided to translate +Anima so I assume that many japanese people have read but it never got a fanbase. I noticed that it was published in a shounen magazine, and one that is specialised in bishoujo characters of all things, maybe it would had gotten a more solid jp fanbase if it was published in a shoujo magazine or something like shounen jump that has a lot of female readers.
