-If you lose, that's good! Losing gives you some points to unlock characters. Unlock the cat first to help you juggle with the palace and get a coin.
-Eventually unlocking the twin to make things so much easier
As tempting as it can be, don't rape Nawfal unless you want to see his epic chimp out. I recommend doing it after you get some feel for it.

The baths is how you get special events, which gets you three characters: Raed, Jemor, and Hamar. Raed is an excellent all-rounder who can tard-wrangle Nabhani, Jemor is excellent for most things except social, and Hamar is a tank.

I found Sociability the hardest trait to accumulate. The equipment of it were hard to come by and events and books rewarding it were sparse. Especially Maggie and Lumera suffered from lack of Sociability (latter doesn’t have it at all but I like sending all my followers to close the side quests so I hoped her wisdom will carry her but swordsman got mad and injured her)
Followers. Whyyy is Arzu the hottest guy to solve all problems I often think where to send them because most cases Arzu is the most competent or required character in slot!!!
Maggie has some use even if she doesn’t have Sociabilty at all. Some quests are easier to handle with her presence mostly but that’s rare. But essential for keeping Faraj and Zaki.
I think I failed Zaki’s mother approval when I chose Dark Alley for last study I looked at wiki and thought it was the most useful traits gain. But at what cost.
And I was shocked when I invited him to bathhouse and it gave Passion event. Feeling a bit bad about it but I enjoyed it… does that mean Arzu had dirty thoughts about Zaki all along? I didn’t liked him at first because his sprite and opposition made me think he was vain noble but he is precious and loyal
And about loyalty. It was pretty amusing when Nabhani spent weeks Unreliable Ally and then finally left me just turn ago before I died, and upon return he is gladly came back to me and since never been capricious. I did nothing, pure RNG moment.
Nawfal may look brooding killjoy but he is smug and refined he is not above trolling Arzu. His content is so interesting to read. And Arzu mocking him in front of courtiers and he is leaving with indifference just opened my eyes for their dynamic.

In terms of sociability and charisma Faraj comes so hard in clutch. He mogs Maggie with a majority of his stats without even trying to bolster them with books/food/equipment. The narrative wants to push you towards her, yet it also doesn't with her sketchy cheating comment and her shit stats even in gold level. After a while Maggie becomes useless unless you waifu her that bad. The tea party events are the only good things she can do honestly. Also she's not necessary for keeping Faraj. Faraj solely wants Arzu's praise, not hers. You get different text if it's only Arzu praising him. If you use Maggie it's good for building his stats and later
having a threesome but as a character, Faraj honestly doesn't give a shit about Maggie in the romantic sense and is completely smitten by Arzu.Fatuna's events are great for getting rid of cards, btw. If she gets mad at you for "tainting" her son, just encourage Zaki to murder her when the event pops up. Don't let Maggie handle it. Or use carnality on Zaki in the bathhouse to humiliate her out of the city. But if you get her on your side, you can either wife her up or not. It's another person you can use.
Regarding support, for the bookstore, you need a noble character to talk to the other nobles in order to increase support in the court. So Zaki, for example, can accumulate lots of support for you and can potentially become a Nawfal cockblocker whenever he's in court. But yeah Zaki is a sweet guy that really likes Arzu. I fuck him every time I can.
Arzu and his twin are easily the best characters in the game. To get to the Hamar Brothers without getting your ass beaten horribly you either have to use the twin, Aziz if trad, or work up Faraj to remotely fair well. The twin is absolutely necessary when you unlock the god/cult route.
Sociability is easy to accumulate with books. That's pretty much how you can get it up. If you pay the Wandering Swordsman, he'll join you from the get go. I usually let Arzu handle him because he usually has the most charisma to deal with him without spending coin.
If you rape the swordsman, it unlocks an adversary event. If your charisma is high and you get a zero when trying to rape him, he'll rape you backIf you're into mods, I recommend the money mod. If you had to use just one for the game it would be that. It makes things easier but you still have the stress of getting the cards and other events, so it's not completely baby mode either.

I felt it too when Lumera was apathetic to the idea and after meeting Fardak. But it Fardak is nice and knows his place, gives both of them Bond of Fate tag for escape routes. I was bummed when I couldn’t take them because Lumera died and became a star, worst decision ever. I didn’t invested in her only for her to became deuce ex machina against Sultan & Magician!!! She easily raises Wisdom/Magic/Survival stats anyway. If killing Magician wasn’t that pain in the ass like Zazie’s. Whenever I try to build Zaki Faraj is already here and ready. I use him as Stealth/Charisma/Sociability/Survival tank. He is always busy like Arzu, besides him only Jemor has Stealh/Survival specialization. Hamar and Jemor are absolute units. Hamar beats any Combat/Physique checks and feels like overkill.

I still don’t understand why carnality made him a laughing stock among courtiers though. I thought homosexual relationships are mundane to them. Playing with mods helps with a lot of that, even the mysterious assistance. Sometimes I just want to play a type of round or see a particular story so I use the mods to make it easier.
