>Best series? It's between Red Jacket and Zero for me. Likely Zero because the animation is so crisp and the homo is more centred, but Red Jacket really gets the 'vibe' of adventure stories in that era, as
>>4742 points out.
That said, Zero does a good job of that too, while retaining a more local, Showa-era vibe.
>Best boy?Goemon when I was a kid (Hot samurai with cleavage), since eeeewwww hairy men.
These days, it's monkey-boy himself. Lupin is such a darling slut, he should be kept on a lovingly short leash.
>Dub or sub?Dub for regular Lupin! I feel it captures the humor better, and unlike being a straight-up dub, the humor is adapted in a way that's funnier to an English-speaking audience.
>Best ShipAdding this since OP neglected it.
Zenigata/Lupin is my OTP for the regular series, due to Lupin's intense flirting and Zenigata's bull-headed sincerity, but I feel like they're more fun to read about in fanfics than seeing fanart.
Jigen/Lupin is definitely cute, especially in Zero. They come across as very believable in their dynamic, feels like an old children's book, which is very nostalgic to me.
