The later story is good again, but my problem is that there is no character I am really into. Arc 1 had edgy Thorfin, Askeladd, Björn and Thorkell. Arc 2 had Snake, Thorgil, early and late Einar arc 3 at least had Sigurd who was the only character whose jokes have worked for me, arc 4 has nobody. Einar maybe, but he has nobody interesting to interact with.

It's not all of them but some act like our good old vikings and realised that raids are fun. There were prior conflicts between Thorfin's crowd and the natives that slowly escalated till the natives started a full-scale invasion now. The series was building up for this for a long while. Even Einar
was staring at Thorfinn as if he was a madman more than once. And now there will be a confrontation between these two as well. Thorfinn's distaste for violence makes him suggest to leave. To leave everything behind they have worked for for many years, the town, the crops, etc. and flee back to a place without a home. Of course Einar would never accept this and now he got very mad. Einar was always good character IMO
